opinion:

It is okay to ship ben and mike and say they would look cute together because ben and mike are not real.

It is okay to squeal over tender scenes between richie and eddie because richie and eddie are not real.

It is okay to write fanfiction about benverly (as long as the scenarios in it are appropriate for two 13-year-olds) because ben and beverly are not real.

It is okay to wish more than anything that stenbrough was canon because stan and bill are not real.

However:

It is NOT okay to spam the actors’ social media accounts pressuring any two of them to be together, kiss, or do anything romantic together.

It is NOT okay to write sexual fanfiction about 13-year-olds.

It is NOT okay to sexualize 13-year-olds.

because at this very moment, one of the child actors in IT could be reading what you are writing about them and feel extremely uncomfortable.

just because they are in a movie, that does not make it any more okay.

STOP SEXUALIZING CHILDREN.
