Gale and Shadowheart (are the kids calling it Shadowweave or Weaveheart) is an underrated dynamic, BUT I also think it's a dynamic that only truly works post the events of Baldur's Gate 3.

I romance both Gale and Shadowheart, in separate plays of c. And they're both people in need of an anchor, a tether. It reminds me of that quote from Mike Flanagan's The Haunting of Hill House:

She used to say she was the kite and I was the line. She was a creature of the clouds and and I was a creature of the earth. And she’d say that without me she’d become untethered and she would float away up into the… And then without her, I would just, you know, crash, just drop right down to the ground, and, you know. But together we…

In BG3, they're both kites. They're two people who are really at the heart of creation, but defined by titles and a life handed to them. They're compelled by duty and guilt that they're both ill-equipped to unpack at the start. They're floating up and away from their own lives in service of goddesses who see them as tools, means to an end. For Mystra, Gale is an instrument of her pride and pleasure. For Shar, Shadowheart is an instrument of pride and spite. So I think they need the space to unwind themselves and fall down to earth before its a dynamic that goes anywhere. Gale has to be more than a mouth (in more ways than one), Shadowheart has to be more than a knife. I think it would be so interesting to explore those dynamics switching for the sake of healing and exploration post BG3. Gale edging Shadowheart, sexually and emotionally. Shadowheart asking someone else to be in charge, maybe even asking someone to hurt her in pursuit of pleasure. And in general, that kind of connection is where I become interested in soft Dom Gale, who I think is often mischaracterized as some sleeper Daddy Dom when in reality he is a Service Switch™️ of all time.

There's a 90s rom com, with an overlooked Brendan Fraser role, called Still Breathing that is SOOOOO Gale x Shadowheart coded to me. Recommend!

This is my first google document, so it isn't the greatest. But, I just wanted to add another free google document for people to use!

This is FREE and a single muse google document template with 7 pages! This is mostly red and black themed, with some white popping out! :].

✦ HOW TO USE

Hover/click on file in the top left

Click on "Make a Copy"

Then, you have your template! You can customize it how you like, but keep in mind that it uses many drawings, tables, and headers.

⠀⠀following my previous posts, a single muse template — based off of themes of machinated and artificial motifs, this is a very minimal template which can be customised mainly by its tables. ⠀⠀＜THE MACHINATION / THE FLESH＞⠀comes from the various dark-cyber aesthetics i've seen on pinterest. with a lighter almost negative colour palette, it works well with at best two different colours for contrast, but can be customised however you wish. it can fit up to around 4000~ words / 30,000~ characters, meant for those who LOVE to yap and whatnot. ⠀⠀thought of something a little more calm unlike the other two.
