First of all, I want to say thank you to everyone who posted and shared their WIPs last month! All of them were amazing and it was so good to see so much RinRei again! <33

Part 2 of RinReiWIPWeek, Finish It, has begun today! If you “finished” any WIPs that were posted in the first part, you can start posting them up from now until March 26. Like before, here are some basic guidelines and rules when posting up your completed pieces.

When posting your finished pieces be sure to tag/mention, credit, and link the original creator AND their original WIP post in the description! Check on this blog for all the WIPs posted for reference.

You can finish as many different WIPs as you like.

RinRei (Beauty and the Beast) w/ Cat!Rin (WIP)

This was for a RinRei prompt that someone posted a couple years ago. It’s a RinRei Beauty and the Beast-inspired fic that takes place after Season 1, where Rin is cursed by some magic person (who just generally thinks he’s being a dick) and gets turned into a cat, and the only way to break the spell is to for someone (*coughREIcough*) to fall in love with him.

It was meant to be at least a two-shot, but it can be as short or long as it needs to be.

The ending is (obviously) Rin and Rei fall in love and successfully break the curse (mayyybe w/ a little confrontation with the spellcaster?), but I haven’t figured out quite how to get to that ending. Everything else from beginning to middle is pretty much mapped out though.

Anyway, here’s the basic outline (more or less in chronological order) and a couple draft paragraphs.

I don’t know what this is. More Rin being a big baby and Rei having to comfort him, except it’s long distance this time?

I think I started writing this late one night and then forgot it existed lol.

His time is eight seconds slower than his personal best.

“It’s to be expected,” says his coach, noting that he’s just gotten over the stomach bug that’s been going around the whole team, and he’s still not fully well yet, and needs to rest. He means it to be comforting, but all Rin hears are the first four words.

It’s to be expected.

The idea for this one was that, before Rin and Rei announced their relationship publicly (because they weren’t sure how Rin’s teammates would react to them dating while being on rival teams during the season), Rei overhears some people from Samezuka calling him embarrassing. Rei doesn’t really care what those people think of him, but he can’t help but wonder if Rin thinks it’s embarrassing to be seen with him.

He’s doing his normal Rei thing and getting worked up while they’re on a date sometime later. Rin tells him to calm it down (they’re in public! geez!) and that pushes Rei to finally ask if Rin thinks he’s embarrassing to be around.

Rin tells him, “Yeah, you’re probably the most embarrassing person I’ve ever met.”

He realizes pretty quickly that this was the wrong answer when Rei starts getting more and more sullen and upset and he finally thinks that hey, maybe telling the guy that you’re in a secret relationship with that he’s embarrassing might make him think you mean that you think it’d be embarrassing if anyone knew you were dating!

Rin starts apologizing and promising him this isn’t the case; sure, Rei can be a huge nerd and could stand to tone it down sometimes, but Rin loves him even with all his weirdness! Rei is placated after lots of cuddling, saying that he doesn’t care what anyone else thinks as long as Rin is happy.

(But Rin still comes out to everyone about the relationship at the next joint practice because he’s not going to let anyone think for a second that he’s anything less than proud of his boyfriend!!)

Anyway I started writing this like two years ago and never finished |’D I feel bad since at the point I stopped Rin doesn’t even really appear, but maybe someone will pick this up? c:

Practice had just ended, and Rei clambered out of the pool, still breathing heavy from his last few laps. Nagisa was waiting for him, bouncing on his heels.

“I got a personal best today, Rei-chan!” he cheered, holding out his hand for a high five, and Rei beamed, high fiving him back.

“That’s great, Nagisa-kun!” he said, proud of his best friend, and their team’s progress. They were going to be ready for next year, thanks to joint practices with Samezuka and their new membership at a gym with an indoor pool for the off-season. “But did you see my fabulous new dive? I’m really getting more reach!”

RinRei NSFW WIPs #7 & #8 (November - December 2015)

This one was going to be about Rin hurting his foot, not being able to practice because of it, and getting really depressed. When I started writing it I didn’t like how quickly I felt like I was wrapping up the conflict and then I sort of ran out of steam and stopped working on it.

I hope somebody likes this…?

The real injustice of the whole situation, Rin thought, looking at the boot on his broken foot, was that he’d been trying to be a nice guy.

One of his teammates was moving into a new apartment, and after promising to buy him dinner and bring him lunch for the rest of the week, he’d convinced Rin to help him move his furniture. Of course, Rin dragged Rei along to help.

Finally getting around to putting some stuff up for RinRei WIP Week (right at the very end, I know).

This first one is a LingeRei fic about Rin finding out about Rei’s love of sexy lingerie. I never got around to finishing it, but I feel like it’s pretty obvious where it was headed, haha.

It started out innocently enough: Rin had been looking at the bookmarks on Rei’s computer, under instructions to “find something for us to watch” while Rei went and got them drinks. Usually trying to watch a movie turned into a cuddling and makeout session, but if Rei wanted to pretend that they were actually going to keep their interactions appropriate in his parents’ house, Rin would let him have his delusions.

Rei kept his bookmarks as painstakingly organized as the rest of his belongings. There were folders for study materials, college websites, healthcare needs… and one labeled “Entertainment,” which was the one Rin clicked. Sure enough, there were several links inside, mostly to streaming sites. And then there was another folder, simply labeled, “X.” Surprised to see such an ambiguously labeled folder on his boyfriend’s computer, Rin’s curiosity got the best of him, and he clicked it.
