I am capable of dishing out a shit ton of benefits of the doubt so if one day I gave up on you I hope you know that it took everything in me see you for who you really are rather than the image I have created in my head.
I think it's imperative that I don't get too happy when things are going my way because every time I get too happy everything falls apart HAHA putang ina
Music's blasting in my ears but the voices in my head are still louder. I don't know how much longer can I push myself to get going. I am so tired of living in a world where you have to keep moving forward. What if all I need is to stay still for a while? A day, a week, a month, for God knows how long. But even so, I think this exhaustion is something a good night sleep could ever help me recover from.
I know I should surrender control and let Your will be done, Lord. But please please please let this one work out
I feel a sharp pain in my chest when my phone lights up and the notification doesn't have your name in it.
"Thank you very much" instead of "as you should."
The urge to build your own life, but with the burden of feeling guilty for not giving back to your family first.
I hate that we live in a society where being loyal to a crush is frowned upon. Whatâs wrong with not wanting to look at anyone else because youâre already interested in one person? So I am that committed, are you seriously going to fault me for that? My feelings toward a person begins long before they reciprocate it to me. That, to me, is what genuine love is. Do you really expect me to have a switch that suddenly makes me âloveâ someone because they showed me love first? No. The love I give is not transactional. The love I give is a love that wants you to keep it without the guilt of not doing anything to earn it. You donât have to earn it. I love you just because. End of story.
âBreadcrumbs are never a meal. A love, will die, when it begs to be fed.â
I need your help, people. I really like this girl and I want to ask her out but she's way out of my league. I dunno what to do :(((
I knew where punctuations belonged. But with you, I didn't know when to pauseâwhen to stop.
I'm so fucked up that I start to flinch when good things are happening to me because the last time I got excited over something, it was taken away from me just when I was starting to get used to the way it makes me happy. Should I just play it nonchalant? Would it hurt less? But I know I can do that. I can't be nonchalant. I love being intentional. God fucking damn it.
Y'all completely missed the point. This was never about consensual sex. It's about unsolicited sexualization, making inappropriate comments, objectifying women, and crossing boundaries without invitation. Healthy, consensual intimacy was never the issue. Get your shit straight, dude. đ
Rent was due when he wrote that shit. Bro was moving like heâs paid by word count lol
Do you realize how fucked up you have to be to assume women who show their skin are begging to be sexualized? You assume women who show their skin are begging to be sexualized because you don't know how to admire a woman without undressing them in your mind. You are one sick son of a bitch.
women are not objects. people who sexualize women have no right to be called human beings. i said what i said.
At the risk of mansplaining, I am writing this to try to unpack based on what I know. Not an attack on anyone.
âWomen are not objects.â
Yes, I agree. No one should objectify women.
It is worth pointing out, however, that some women âself-objectifyâ and/or explicitly allow others (likely someone they trust) to objectify them, maybe as a kink. In these cases, it is done with consent from all parties involved. Most importantly, there is aftercare. And even then, I would further note, they are a minority. Objectifying the self as a woman, whatever her reasons may be, is a privilege that not all women could do or want to do.
Women should have complete autonomy over their own bodies.
âPeople who sexualize women have no right to be called human beingsâŠâ
I could only imagine the emotions that would spur a woman to write such generalization. Women has to endure daily hardships brought by patriarchy we all live and take part in. I know from personal experience how machismo corrodes womenâs welfare.
Although a minority, it is worth noting that even women and other non-men can be misogynistic. Patriarchy is affects everyoneâs behavior, no matter the sex and gender. This open letter by Yannah Angela comes to mind as an example, in which the author writes about (trigger warning) sexual assault and child abuse as a direct consequence of patriarchy.
Also, are women who sexualizeâmaybe even objectifyâthemselves for whatever reason (e.g., for sex work) included in this reduction?
Now, Iâas a cis-hetero male, apparently non-human beingâwish to argue for whatever is left of my personhood by saying: it is normal to be physically attracted to, to sexualize even, the opposite sex (women) and other femme-presenting folks (if you get what I mean). It is the following actions and inactions that matter more, in my humble opinion. Any actions that lead to, or any inactions that neither prevent nor stop, violence against women (online or in meatspace), including sexual harassment, assault, and abuse, should be condemned and be made accountable in any reality.
Some examples:
Masturbating to the thought of some person one has sexualized in their heads is okay, but masturbating to revenge porn is detestable.
Getting turned on by the idea of having sex with some stranger on the internet is okay, but sliding in their DMs unprompted to let them know of the fact is creepy.
Consensual freaky and nasty sex is great, but if the safeword is uttered, stop immediately and proceed to aftercare.
But what about writing smut on the internet for fun?
The proof is left as an exercise to the reader.
idk if youâre too shallow to understand the context or too deep into overthinking it.
does she really need to complete the sentence for u to understand the context? ofc, what she meant was people who sexualize women WITHOUT CONSENT have no right to be called human beings. the post was obviously about women whose photos are stolen, shared, reposted on adult sites & sexualized without their permission, not about consensual kinks, sex work, or women who willingly express their sexuality. idk why u interpreted it that way.
being physically attracted to someone is normal. respecting peopleâs boundaries should be normal too. but once u reduce someone to a sexual object without their consent, thatâs no longer just attraction.
you even started defending ur âpersonhoodâ as if the post was personally attacking every cis-hetero man. if ur first reaction to a post condemning non-consensual sexualization is to defend the word âsexualizeâ instead of condemning the people who actually do it without consent, then maybe u completely missed the point there.
do u agree with people who would do that to ur sister/s? ur mom? if not, then y are u debating the wording instead of condemning the actual behavior? thatâs literally the point of the post.
Don't you just fucking love it when a fucking man clarifies something that doesn't even need a fucking clarification in the first place? Whenever I see men talk nonsense, I am relieved that I am like this and not someone like the rest of you HAHAHAHA thank you Lord.
Heavy on the âas you shouldâ instead of âthank you so much.â Itâs basic human decency really.
