this is honestly my favorite meme of all time
Losing a relationship hurts. But losing yourself in a relationship hurts longer.

I wanna know their names
Their names are Carlos Polanco, Carl Snyder and Alex Hall and they defeated the Harvard debate team on the topic of access to education for undocumented children
Reblogging again for the names
The Attorney General of Massachusetts, everybody.
In case you were skeptical, this is real.
HELP YOUR INSECURE FRIENDS. REMIND THEM THAT YOU LOVE THEM. RANDOMLY GIVE THEM COMPLIMENTS. TEXT THEM SPONTANEOUSLY. DONT GIVE UP ON THEM JUST BECAUSE THEYVE GIVEN UP ON THEMSELVES. HELP YOUR INSECURE FRIENDS!
my friend angella was doing a comedy gig, and as soon as she came out a guy shouted ‘can i give you my number?’ and all the crowd groaned cause it was so inappropriate but angella was like ‘yeah sure’. the guy started shouting out his number and she started entering it into her phone. the whole crowd was like woaaah. she got the whole number and then dialled it and it rang. everyone lost their shit. finally the guy answered and angella just said “hello? shut the fuck up” and it was the most incredible thing i’ve ever seen
Krista and Tatiana Hogan are craniopagus twins, meaning they’re connected at the head.
They share a structure that connects Krista’s thalamus to Tatiana’s. The thalamus is a double-lobed organ that plays important roles in processing sensory input and creating consciousness.
Since Krista’s and Tatiana’s thalami are connected, scientists and members of the Hogan family think the girls might view the world differently than the rest of us do.
For example, Dr. Cochrane believes the girls can see through each other’s eyes. He came to this conclusion after covering Krista’s eyes, placing electrodes on her head, and watched Krista’s brain respond after shining a light in Tatiana’s pupils.
Other times, one girl will be watching TV while the other is looking somewhere else. Suddenly, the twin not watching TV will start laughing at what’s happening onscreen.
Their “thalamic bridge” also affects their sense of taste. Krista is a ketchup fiend, but Tatiana hates the stuff. Once, Krista was eating ketchup, and Tatiana furiously tried to wipe it off her own tongue even though she wasn’t eating any ketchup herself.
Perhaps the strangest phenomenon of all is that the twins sometimes use the word “I” to describe both of themselves at once.
As of 2011, no one had run any conclusive tests on the girls and their odd condition. However, scientists who have observed their behavior and brain scans are flabbergasted and excited. While no one can say for sure at the moment, it really does seem Krista and Tatiana can share private thoughts and perceive what the other is sensing.
As someone who wants to study consciousness in the future, I can say this is one of the most extraordinary cases I have ever heard of.

MORE WOW SCIENCE
So Minnesotans showed the fuck up tonight (like we do) - thousands in the street protesting tr*mp’s latest executive disorders. And guess what happened? The old proverb “What if an emergency vehicle needs to get where it’s going” came to life, and the sea went silent and parted to allow it through (swiftly…literally the truck was going about as fast as, if not faster than, it would have been if there had been cars it needed to go around).
Please share this. This was a rare occurrence where an emergency vehicle needed to go through the route of a protest, when usually they have predetermined alternative routes, and it went completely fine. Also for the love of god, have more respect for firefighters/EMTs…they know how to do their jobs. They’re ready for anything, including working around protests.
So folks can stop using that tired old argument now (not that it was ever backed up by sources anyway).
u know what … i changed my mind… all u scientists out there who worked ur butts off just to have your research purposefully ignored by the government… do your science thing and bring back the dinosaurs… catch them ignoring you when a velociraptor is our next president…. like ding dong what’s that? it’s science, it doesn’t care about your silly ignorant opinion… it’s back with a vengeance… and it’s hungry, bitch
America, Fight Your Demons
I spent a great deal of time on this one, and ultimately I’m proud of the result. This was originally just a class assignment for my Western Philosophy class, but given the upsetting turn of events we’ve seen in US politics over the past few days and my own personal feelings on the subject, it turned into something more cathartic.
The piece is based on John Locke’s principal, The Right of Revolution, which states that all free people have the right to challenge any government or government figure who poses a threat to their lives, their rights, and their freedom. The beastly figures sided with Trump are meant to symbolize the various social and political plagues that make life so horrific for so many. They are America’s Demons: racism, sexism, bigotry, religious discrimination, corruption, greed, the abuse of power, etc. As Americans, it is our duty to fight them.
It’s lovely, powerful piece. Thanks for sharing it.
