I never thought your banners were AI, and I never saw your paintings so have no opinion on those.

I also think that the person talking about the hands and the "daddy thing" is being weird and jumping on this to complain about something trivial and unrelated.

However, are you claiming that you have never ever touched AI in regards to your actual writing? Because I would call cap on that, personally.

It may not be fully written by AI, but everything gave the vibe of being either ran through AI after writing, or originating from AI and having been touched up afterwards.

Em dashes isn't the main issue, it's just the most obvious one when it comes to AI writing. I think saying "hey everybody, look, em dashes in published books" is a cop out response in all honesty. Yeah, em dashes exist. Obviously. But AI overuses them and incorrectly in most instances, which is why it's obvious. There's also the problem with repetetive phrases.

I can't remember the exact wording, because the story's gone, but there was one fic that had something to the effect of "she XXX. not like XXX, but like you were XXX" (again, can't remember the exact thing) multiple times in every paragraph just over and over again. This is something that is VERY common with AI models when "writing" works.

This is the last thing I'll mention on it because it's pointless, and if you want to scream that you didn't use AI until you're blue in the face then that's fine, however this is at the very least a bit of context as to why your works are being percieved as to being AI.

Thank you for clarifying, I didn't mean to imply you thought that about my art/banners I just wanted to express some previous messages and reasons to why things happened.

I appreciate the feedback, the honesty and the fact that you've highlighted some issues with my writing I can work on and that it's being moved past now.

I agree it's pointless to keep talking about it, we can both claim things and scream then till were both blue like you said but I'm glad people who wanted an answer got one about what happened.

Getting a Puppy Headcanons 

It was not her idea... at first.

You brought it up. 

“We should get a puppy.” you said out of nowhere one day.

Rhea didn’t even look up at first.

“No.” 

You narrowed your eyes.

“You didn’t even think about it.” 

“I did,” she replied. “Answer’s still no.” 

Fast forward two weeks. 

She’s the one sending you photos. 

“Look at this one.” 

“That’s literally a puppy.” 

“Yeah. Look at it.” 

“…Rhea.” 

“We’re just looking.” 

You both knew that meant it was already over. 

The second she holds the puppy, she’s gone.

At the shelter, she tries to act unaffected and nonchalant.

Arms crossed. Neutral expression. Definitely not invested. 

Until a tiny puppy is placed in her arms. 

You watch her face change. 

“…It’s small,” she mutters. 

“It’s a puppy.” 

“It’s really small.” 

The puppy wiggles closer to her chest. 

“…It likes me.” 

You smile. “Yeah. He does.” 

That’s it. 

Decision made. 

She pretends the puppy is yours, but everyone knows the truth. 

“This is your dog,” she says firmly on the way home. 

“You picked it.” 

“I did not, I approved it.” 

But the second you’re home? 

She’s the one on the floor with him. 

“C’mere,” she murmurs, tapping the ground. 

The puppy immediately runs to her. 

You just lean on the doorway, amused.

“My dog, huh?” 

She doesn’t even look up.

“Shut up.” 

She gives the puppy a ridiculously tough nickname 

You pick a cute name. 

Something soft. 

Something that fits a tiny, clumsy puppy. 

“No. I’m calling it something else.” 

“What?” 

“Menace.” 

You stare at her.

“He weighs two kilos.” 

“He’s got attitude,” she insists. 

The puppy trips over its own paws. 

She nods. “See? Menace.” 

The nickname sticks. 

Training turns into a power struggle… that she loses 

Rhea thinks she’s in charge. 

Naturally. 

“Sit,” she says, firm and commanding. 

The puppy stares at her. 

Then walks away. 

You try not to laugh. 

Rhea squints slightly.

“Did he just ignore me?” 

“Yes.” you couldn't stop laughing.

She tries again. Same result. 

You kneel down.

“Hey, come here.” 

The puppy immediately runs to you and sits. 

Rhea looks offended.

You grin.

“Skill issue.” 

She narrows her eyes.

“I’m not losing to a dog.” 

She absolutely spends the next hour trying to win. 

She becomes weirdly protective 

Someone gets too close to the puppy on a walk? 

Rhea is already watching. 

Hand hovering near the leash, body positioning between the puppy and everything else. 

“You’re doing that thing again,” you say. 

“What thing?” 

“The protective thing.” 

She shrugs. “He’s small.” 

“And?” 

“…And he’s ours.” 

You feel the changes.

Late nights with a sleepy puppy = her softest moments 

The puppy falls asleep on her chest one evening. 

She doesn’t move. 

Not even a little. 

You walk in and stop. 

Rhea is sitting there, completely still, one hand resting lightly on the puppy’s back. 

“…You’ve been like that for how long?” you ask softly. 

“Doesn’t matter. He’s comfortable.” 

You sit beside her, leaning into her shoulder. 

“Don’t tell anyone about this,” she says. 

“About what?” 

“…This,” she gestures slightly, careful not to wake the puppy. 

You smile.

“Too late.” 

She talks to the puppy like it understands everything 

Full conversations. 

Serious tone. 

“You can’t just chew things. That’s not how this works.” 

The puppy tilts his head. 

She sighs.

“I don’t know why I’m explaining this to you.” 

You’re barely holding back laughter.

“Because you love him.” 

She pauses. 

Looks at the puppy. 

Then at you. 

“…Yeah,” she admits quietly. 

The puppy becomes your shared comfort space.

Bad day? 

The puppy ends up between you. 

Curled up. Warm. Safe. 

Rhea’s hand finds yours without thinking, her other resting on the puppy. 

No words needed. 

Just something small and good that belongs to the both of you. 

She never admits how much this changed her 

But you see it. 

In the way she softens. 

In the way she smiles more. 

In the way she looks at you when you’re both sitting on the floor, the puppy half-asleep between you. 

“You’re staring,” you say. 

She shrugs.

“Just thinking.” 

“About?” 

“…This is nice.” 

Simple. Honest. Real.

I have not seen it! But now that you mentioned, I checked because I had a number of her pieces saved and they are all gone!

Did they use AI or did they just had enough of people constantly saying it? Because I also get messages saying my pieces are AI on here and my other blog when its not true. I'm afraid we are entering an era when people claim AI and the writer, who didn't use AI, gets fed up and deletes their work.

Hi, you might know me as itsgivingmami. Recently there have been some questions about me, my work, my art, my thumbnails and ai.

The anon who left me messages, and now on other blogs sent me two messages. First, yes I deleted my account. After briefly posting my fics privately for my followers and getting a second message I was hurt and frustrated and deactivated.

I didn’t respond to either on my blog, I don’t think I owe answers to any inbox ask regardless of what it’s about. That blog then took my actions, perceived them as guilt and asked another user who doesn't know me personally(not that anyone on here does) which I don’t think was fair to them.

A year ago when I started posting I got a message saying I was clearly copying someone in the community by posting 3 pictures side by side as my thumbnails— so I changed them to custom banners.

Then I started getting inbox asks about those(I use sketchbook from the App Store and place them together them smudge them with a smudge tool). I get it AI imagery is everywhere, but I made them by hand.

I started posting my paintings when a mutual suggested it. As for the whole daddy thing and showing my hands if that’s the weirdest thing on tumblr then… alright🤷🏻‍♀️ I can appreciate how people feel about it good or bad react how you wanna doesn't bother me. What does bother me was the message I got about my butterfly painting and how it was clearly ai. I spent hours of work time, I sell acrylic paintings professionally.

Over the last three months I've had accusations thrown in my inbox a couple times and quite frankly got fed up but if I wanted to delete my account the first time being accused of using ai I would’ve done that when it first started. Never addressed it because is it going to change minds? Probably fucking not.

Have I been influenced by ai media?

Absolutely. I read fanfics, articles, blogs etc. As I'm sure do most of us and half the time don’t realize.

Do I use em dashes?

Yes, I don't want every punctuation to be a comma. I also use colons, semi colons, ellipses. I also use them in my texts and when I write by hand.

Listen whatever opinion is yours, if it's that I had ai write my fics or I'm stealing thumbnails but let's not take an emotional response as grabbing the pitch forks and definitely not drag others into it.

I'm sorry if deleting my stories took away a comfort fic, I know how important those can be. There were over 600 of you that followed me that I should've thought more about before I deleted everything. I'm considering putting them elsewhere.

It was thoughtless and I apologize.

This whole situation makes me feel kind of done in all honesty, like when you delete a text thread because you don’t want to see it. That’s basically what happened. At the end of the day… it’s fan fiction, it’s important to me, I love it but maybe it’s time to be done for me.
