Gymnastics Skill Guide: The Full Twisting Double Layout (Full-Out)

Event: Floor Exercise

Skill Type: Acro Element/Tumbling Run

Skill Description: A double salto in the laid out position with a full twist. Like the full twisting double tuck and the full twisting double pike, the full twisting double layout can be done with the twist in the first salto (full-in) or the second salto (full-out).  In the case of the full-out double layout, the gymnast, usually out of a roundoff back handspring, does a salto in the laid out positon followed by a second, full-twisting salto in the same stretched position before landing on her feet facing the same direction in which she took off from the back handspring.

bringing this back - and people do them on UB a lot. Iosra Abdelaziz ITA jr does a double tuck full out, and both Tweddle and Komova did their double doubles with the double twist in the second salto.
