i love writing anti-military industrial complex jack abbot. he would not be pro war after that shit. he would be reading books on how the war on terror was a racist xenophobic shit show. he would tell teenagers talking about considering the military to do literally anything else and try to point them to resources. he would be thanked for his service and feel guilt for participating in neo colonialism. cops would try to be buddies with him and he would tell them to fuck off.

he signed his life away as a young man and came back down a leg and completely traumatized. he would not be patriotic or proud. he would be angry and ashamed. his camaraderie is with other veterans screwed by the world, not with the institution itself.
