Alright I need to get something off my chest
Lately I’ve been seeing a shit ton of hate in the ereri tag. Like more than usual to the point where I see more hate than anything actually having to do with the ship.
I understand that everyone has their own opinions but where the haters are coming from is complete garbage. Ereri is not pedophilia. Period. It doesn’t even fall in the same category. Read a fucking dictionary for once in your life.
See? A pedophile is someone who is sexually attracted to children. As in CHIlDREN children. Not 15/16/17 year olds who have already gone through puberty and know how their bodies work for the most part. Children are small humans who haven’t developed yet. 11 and under basically.
Eren is not a child. In age or mentality. He’s considered an adult and treated like one. In the ereri ship, I personally have never seen an instance where Levi is attracted to Eren for the specific reason being his age. Ever. Yes some people have a kink like that and its fucking disgusting. Pedophiles are fucking disgusting. Levi is not a pedophile.
If you think ereri shippers are supporting pedophilia, your wrong. I’m sorry but you are. That’s not what the ship is about. Its about two people who love each other. Whether the age gap is there doesn’t matter. Look at some fucking people irl. Look at all the marriages between people who have huge age gaps. The biggest I’ve ever seen was the husband was older by 14 years. 14! That’s like starting high school when you’re future wife is being born! Ya’ll throwing shade at fictional characters? What the hell?
I ship ereri hard so I might be a bit bias but your opinion, if based on incorrect facts and pure spite, is absolute garbage. Telling someone to kill themselves over what they enjoy is the shittiest thing you can do. Like ever. I’ve seen people completely bail out of tumblr because they can’t take the hate. We’re one of the worst fandoms on this God forsaken website because of the ship wars. You like Ereri? Fine cool. You like Eruri? Sure. It may not be your cup of tea but don’t be a dick about it.
Eren and Levi care about each other, romantic or platonic. They respect each other and their choices. I ship it because I can see that. Isayama made some great fucking characters that go well together.
