2026 intro post!

i dont think i've ever fully introduced myself on here so here goes

i'm ris, 24 and i do digital, 3d and occasionally traditional art (but i rarely share that here) i try to be active on various social media but the best place to keep up with my art is unfort tiktok but all my accounts are here

other than posting art here i also post silly random thoughts, mostly about songs or the occasional book 'review' i listen to a lot of indie and like 'cottagecore' but the main artists i will probaly post about are chelsea cutler noah kahan ajr quinn xcii but some other artists i 'main' are boygenius, spacey jane, dominic fike also speaking of music a fun fact about me is i am chelsea cutler's #47 listener worldwide🙂‍↕️🫡✨

aside from music and art i also dabble a little in video games but for the past year i have mainly only played palia (feel free to add if you'd like)

this album truly is something else, i don't think themes of estrangement have ever been captured in such a real manner i can't put into words the overwhelming guilt i feel being on the end of the person who has continuously left...worse yet leaving without having physically gone anywhere

working on developing a new portrait painting style, so this will be a continuously updated thread with all of em

first attempt, my inspo is largely efé on tiktok/ig idk if she has a tumblr, i like the sort of loose not over realistic shading because often i end up over rendering which is cool but i think art that looks like it could be a photo is just not my vibe and also it takes long so i want to find a middle ground

this turned out perfect in terms of the style i'm going for, i really enjoyed working on the teeth and the glasses reflections

2nd attempt, used a different brush this time (Chalk Grainy) i'm torn on the outcome, i think because the face isn't like conventionally attractive it's skewing my assesment of it, i do think the glasses reflections are shaded nicely tho, overall not that but i won't say it's an improvement from the 1st attempt
