Fluttershy became part bat (after the famous fruitbat ep) I don't remember if I hanged it or not but her colors are supposed to be a bit duller than before turning. Cutiemarks represent power level so during canon they're normal like in show but as it progresses especially during the end they gain more power over their magic and so their cutiemarks grew to represent it, other than mane 6, only ponies like princesses and some other important ponies from history managed to get this level of power, so it's not something a common pony can achieve
