Residents on Kells estate in Whitehaven plagued by 'massive' rats
Rodents have been plaguing the streets of a housing estate after a derelict building was knocked down.
Horrified residents have reported seeing “massive” rats on the Kells estate in Whitehaven following the demolition of the former Royal British Legion Club earlier this month.
Copeland Council’s council’s environmental health team is now investigating the problem.
Coun John Kane, who represents Kells on Copeland Council, reported the issue after a resident discovered a rat next to a wheelie bin.

A theory during the Bubonic Plague was that the plague was caused by evil spirits. To scare the spirits away, the masks were intentionally designed to be creepy.

Estate overrun by rats with residents describing rodent infestation 'worse than ever'
Concerned residents have described a rat infestation being 'worse than ever' after their tower block became overrun by kitten-sized rodents.
