Strokes can be scary, but they are treatable if symptoms are recognized and addressed in a TIMELY manner ⏱ in addition, many risk factors are entirely modifiable 🍏🍎🌱🌿🏊🏽🚴🏼‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️ I see many patients that have severe residual deficits after a stroke. Unfortunately, most of these patients did not seek medical treatment in a timely manner. I have also had patients that came in completely paralyzed from one side without being able to speak who 1hr after receiving clot busting medication and having clot removal procedures were almost back to their normal selves & 3 days later WALKED out of the hospital when discharged. Guys, seriously‼️ If you haven't already, you need to incorporate #NurseGrid into y'alls life. One of my favorite features is being able to manage your credentials 😃 The app sends you expiration reminders 1week- 6months in advance as well as adding pics of your certifications.
