All plants reflect light. Leaves reflect green, and flowers reflect red, or yellow, or whatever. But plants also fluoresce, which means when they reflect ultraviolet light, they emit longer wavelengths visible to the human eye. It’s the same thing that happens with a black-light poster.
These photos capture the glow from plants that humans can’t see, but that are always there.

After exactly a month from its opening, the feeling is that this year Venice Biennale has been in the news more for its often political controversies than for the quality of its exhibitions. Christopher Buchel’s The Mosque managed to split up the art world commentators as rarely before and the withdrawals of Syrian Film Collective […]
So loved Simon Denny he is magical and made Venice airport so much more interesting
Lucas’s sculptural army of friends and muses are all pleasuring themselves – and they’ll make you feel good too
Really enjoyed Sarah Lucas and her desert fantasy
Photo by @historyofthebatman ・・・ Good Knight Gothamites! Tomorrow we will have more Batman news and media from Day 2 of @SanDiegoComicCon! Earlier today, the #SDCC panel @DCComics Meets @LEGO Art announced artist Nathan Sawaya’s @NathanSawaya “The Art of the Brick: DC Comics” exhibition which celebrates 80 years of DC Comics with sculptures of super heroes and super villains made entirely out of millions of LEGO bricks. The themes of the exhibition will range from transformation and reinvention to good and evil, all touched upon in the publications’ stories. DC Comics artist and DC Entertainment Co-Publisher Jim Lee @JimLeeArt joined the interactive panel with Sawaya and drew a new Batmobile that Sawaya will build out of LEGO pieces for the traveling exhibit, the first stop being November 2015 in Sydney, Australia’s Powerhouse Museum, part of the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (MAAS) (to reserve tickets now, visit http://maas.museum). Here is a LEGO sculpture by @NathanSawaya featured in the panel showcasing Batman and The Joker, shaped perfectly to illustrate their yin and yang relationship. To see more of @NathanSawaya’s LEGO art, please visit their website at BrickArtist.com! I hope those who are at SDCC this week are having a nerdy blast, can’t wait to join you this Saturday and Sunday! Thanks for following and all the constant support, have a great night and we will have more History of the Batman tomorrow! Remember Gothamites, it’s all about #Peace, #Love and #Batman! ✌🏻️💙💛🃏💜💚☺️
