I love second hand books because..... they have clues to the previous reader in them.
Celebrities on the Scale
“lets make an entire website comparing women!!!!”
1) Why do the media think that skinny and curvy are mutually exclusive? It is possible to be a UK 6-8 (US 2-4) and still have curves.
2) What's with the putting one woman against another, divide-and-rule bull crap?!
I don't care if you're fat, skinny, tall, short, average, athletic or muscular. No one should ever body shame you.
Tyrion Lannister on tour in Ibiza. He drunk and he knew things.
First two weeks of training starts with a plan! Already a runner but realising I need to run a LOT more.
Is this anxiety?
When you tell yourself repeatedly that you are loved, you still don't believe it. No matter how many times people tell you that you can sing/play music/act, you still don't believe you belong on the stage. You're putting on a brave, calm exterior but inside you're falling apart because of panic. When you think it's only a matter of time before your current group of friends get fed up with you because of your horrible personality and you're not interesting as a person anyway. I'm putting this on tumblr because friends on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram will probably dismiss my anxieties as nothing/tell me to be positive, etc.
Bite Sized Book Reviews: Different Class by Joanne Harris
Alternating between the Autumns of 2005 and 1981 (1982 & 1988), and between the voices of Latin teacher and former student, Different Class pieces together the story of a young gay man in a hostile, homophobic environment and the teacher looking back at it whilst battling against modernity and the marketisation of education. Easy to read - the different voices flow seamlessly into the other. Emotional/heartbreaking - the treatment of gay men by society and church (forgetting that God is a God of love). And how homophobia is still tolerated in society now. Really thought provoking.
Of course. Because it's the Nerd Shit that we comfort ourselves with because the world is falling apart around us!
I love twitter
Lots of people have multiple relationships, but only Taylor Swift is slated for it?
Oh, right. Misogyny.
I lived in books more than I lived anywhere else.

The story of my childhood.
Bite sized book review: The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood
Margaret Atwood is clearly a modern day prophet. Reading through The Handmaid's Tale, it's not hard to compare Gilead to Trump's America, Brexit Britain or some other nasty regimes (India and the Phillipines, for example). A world of fake news, rewriting history and oppression of women. Hard to tell what's real and what's fiction at the moment.
Sing it, sister.

Inspector Zen. Possibly my new literally crush. Unorthodox, unconventional, but ultimately wants to do the right thing. Excuse me while I lie down.
