i feel like one of the worst things about of having dyslexia & adhd AND being chronically online is all the unnecessary fights you accidentally start or partake in after mis reading a comment and/or post.
im just mind my own business scrolling than all of sudden, i see a post saying "fat people are disgusting and don't deserve love"
my impulsiveness gets the better of me and i immediately respond saying: "hey that's a messed up thing to say"
they respond "wdym"
me: "you can't talk about people like that just because their fat."
them: "how else do you want me to talk about them?"
me: "...with respect"
them: "i wasn't respectful?"
me: "well obviously not"
them: "i dunno if you're rage baiting me or just projecting"
then back to me starring at my phone dumbfounded cuz how could this guy even come to such a conclusion.
i read the post again and like before it's "fat people are disgusting and don't deserve love."
but i still don't know how to respond to this guy.
so i read it again and again.
but it's only on the fifth reread that my brain finally sorts out the letters right, and i see it actually says "fat people aren't disgusting for wanting love too."...
...
...
well now what?
i just started a random argument with someone -i actually agree with in retrospect- for no reason😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
back in the day i used to try to explain the mis understanding but folks didn't really care for that type of explanation.
i just gotta make peace with the fact that i got up on beyoncé's internet and made a fool of myself cuz i can't read😭
i know literally no one gives a damn, but i'm gonna bring it up again cuz it STILL bothers me that much for some reason.
cuz even tho jackson had a moment where he acknowledged how both girls meant to him, it was his moment with taylor that truly felt like a "i see you moment."
with melissa he said something a long the lines of "whenever things go south your always the one to pick up the pieces and put everyone at ese."
and with taylor he said "i like how you're the most honest one amongst us. everyone is trying to act smarter and braver than they actually are. but you're just you and i like that."
while both moments are important, taylor and jackson's moment will forever feel deeper to me. cuz with melissa if felt like he was saying i like you for what you can do for others. where as with melissa it was "i like you for who you are."
i just love it whenever carl and aniya are in say less together, the vibes are immaculate!! they look like they feel in ease with each other, and their kisses????? don't get me started, i am genuinely obsessed with carniya 😩
“The police spend very little of their time dealing with violent criminals—indeed, police sociologists report that only about 10% of the average police officer’s time is devoted to criminal matters of any kind. Most of the remaining 90% is spent dealing with infractions of various administrative codes and regulations: all those rules about how and where one can eat, drink, smoke, sell, sit, walk, and drive. If two people punch each other, or even draw a knife on each other, police are unlikely to get involved. Drive down the street in a car without license plates, on the other hand, and the authorities will show up instantly, threatening all sorts of dire consequences if you don’t do exactly what they tell you. The police, then, are essentially just bureaucrats with weapons. Their main role in society is to bring the threat of physical force—even, death—into situations where it would never have been otherwise invoked, such as the enforcement of civic ordinances about the sale of untaxed cigarettes.”
— An excerpt from Ferguson & the Criminalization of American Life by David Graeber (via actjustly)
since i think many will have had the memory slip with just how many other atrocities have occured in the past 11 years, or are simply too young to remember, the last bit about the sale of untaxed cigarettes isn’t just some hypothetical, it’s a reference to the killing of eric garner
this is the origin of the slogan “i cant breathe”, which was revived in the wake of the killing of george floyd.
i really don't understand why people are so mad about banana fish getting a dub. i kept seeing videos and comments talking bout some "the new fans the dub will bring in aren't gonna be introduced by the inferior version that lacks the raw emotion of sub."
when first of all the idea that english dubs carry no wmotion is something the anime community seriously needs to put down. just because you're strictling sub, doesn't mean goid dubs are scares. i also don't get the same story, just spoken in a different language is seen as the inferior version.
if anything i believe newer fans will be getting a more proper introduction to the series. i've always held the belief that banana fish was one of thoes animes that high-key needed a dub to complete it's atmosphere. banana fish is set in new york so hearing the characters speak english helps the setting feel more real. this tim around we'll get fully experience things like hear eiji's broken english instead of just hearing about it from ash. we'll hear the southern accents ash's dad and brother had. eiji teaching ash japanese will feel less jarring cuz ash hadn't been speaking perfect japanese right back at eiji this whole time in the dub.
i feel like a lot of folks are just letting what they're used to cloud their ability to see benefits that come with a knew route
I don’t know if anyone will read this… or if my voice will disappear like everything else we lost.

My children are searching for their clothes under the rubble. This is my destroyed home Please help my orphaned children in Palestine. Help them
Help us. Save us. We are slowly dying. 😭💔🙏
I am a mother of five children, and today we are living through one of the most terrifying moments of our lives.
The army has ordered the evacuation of the areas around us. People are running in fear, carrying their children and whatever little they have left. I recorded a video so the world can see the suffering we are going through and the fear surrounding us every second.
We have no money to leave, no safe place to go, and nowhere to protect my children. Every moment feels like danger is getting closer to us. My children are terrified, and I do not know how to keep them safe anymore.
Please, I beg you, help us before it is too late. Help us before we are bombed and disappear like so many others. Any support, donation, or share could save the lives of my children.
Please do not ignore our cries for help.

I have documented a video showing military boats detaining fishermen in the Gaza Sea. My husband is a fisherman, and every time he goes out to sea, we live in constant fear for his life. During the war, he was injured and faced great danger from military boats, yet he is still forced to risk his life because our family has no other source of income.
"Look at the fishermen of Gaza. They go to sea not in search of wealth, but in search of survival. Yet even there, they live in fear. We have all seen fishermen intercepted and taken away by warships while trying to earn a living.
My husband is unemployed. He was once a fisherman, but now every trip to the sea carries the risk of detention, violence, or death. As a wife and mother, I am terrified of losing him, yet our family is struggling to survive without income.
Today, we face impossible choices: hunger or danger, poverty or risk. We need help to get through these difficult days.
I am asking for your compassion and support. Any donation, no matter the amount, will help us provide food, basic necessities, and a measure of stability for our family while we navigate this crisis.
Please consider donating and sharing our story. Your kindness can help protect a family that is simply trying to survive.
Thank you for standing with us and with the people of Gaza."
We are living in a torn tent, struggling to find food and clean water. I suffer from severe iron deficiency and poor health, while my children face hunger and uncertainty every day. We cannot afford even the most basic necessities, and each day has become a fight for survival.
Please watch our story and consider supporting our family. Your donation can help us buy food, water, medicine, and other essential needs. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings hope and helps us survive these extremely difficult circumstances.
🙏 Please donate and help us survive. Thank you for your compassion, kindness, and support.
Please do not ignore our cries for help.

From a Computer Engineer to Fighting for Survival: Please Do Not Scroll Past My Urgent Appeal 🥺💔
Before this crisis, I was a Computer Engineering graduate from the Islamic University of Gaza. I had a house, a car, a promising career, and a life full of dreams. Now, I am a brother carrying the heavy responsibility of keeping my entire family alive.
I sacrificed absolutely everything before turning to this campaign. I spent my entire life savings and sold every single thing I owned, including my laptop. Out of pure desperation to feed my family, I took a grueling heavy-lifting job that my body couldn't handle. My back broke under the weight, leaving me hospitalized for an entire month.
Today, I am broken and in agonizing pain inside a tent, unable to even stand up on my own feet.
I feel completely helpless because my campaign is moving extremely slow—it doesn't even cover the cost of basic food for my family right now. We are starving, and the slow support is leaving us stranded on the brink of survival.
Please, do not look away from our agony. Your donations are our only way to eat and stay safe. If you cannot donate, please share my story. You are truly our last remaining hope 🙏😭🥀💔😔
Hi, my name is Max and I am raising funds for Mahmoud and his family who are living in Gaza. Please read his story below:
Life in Gaza is really tough. We are living in very difficult conditions, and every day feels like a struggle just to get through it.
My father is still very sick, and seeing him like this is breaking me. I wish I could do more for him, but I can’t.
I’m trying to stay strong for my family, but honestly I feel lost and tired.
Please, don’t leave us alone. Donate and share our story… it might help save my dad.

I'm here to tell you a few things. There are many haters and liars around, but I want to thank @el-shab-hussein who refuted all these false claims. However, You can follow up on this matter through this link click here
First, I'm the one who makes these crocheted pieces, and this is indeed the business card. You can see it on this page and contact me there as well. Click here
It was under our business name. But I lost the pieces and the business phone when my house was bombed.
That's why I'm here; I need your help and support. There are many hateful people here who wish us harm and genocide, but I'm striving for my dream and trying to help my family. These are some pieces of my work from before the war. I hope you can help and support us so we can continue living and alleviate our suffering.
Also, if you wish, you can follow the page on Instagram and view many more pieces of art.
