hello I hope this is the same account, otherwise awkward

but I’ve had this screenshot saved for as long as I can remember, probably literal years if not almost a decade.

I FINALLY am foamsmithing and all that, and I’ve been so frustrated trying to find a glossy topcoat that doesn’t dull my silver armor, and I found this in my old files. I just ordered it and I want to say THANK YOU

yooooooooo this is such a blast from the past. make sure you're applying the frog juice over a base coat of paint! id love to see the finished product when your cosplay is done!

It’s not done but I debuted most of it this past weekend at a convention. Frog juice worked like a dream and I’m pretty sure it even saved my ass when American made me check my bag and mishandled the hells out of it. Just a little heat and most of the creases in the finish smoothed right out

I actually work at a sign shop now myself and my coworker got SO stoked when he saw the green can. Small world!

Ok, here’s a long post. I think the #BAFTAGamesAwards are barely even over yet but congratulations to every single nominee but also especially congratulations to these badasses who managed to change my life with a single video game…Baldur’s Gate III:

As many of you know, Baldur’s Gate III has had a steel(watch) grip on my entire being for months now. It and the team behind it deserve every single nomination and award they are given. It’s unlike any game I’ve ever played, and Skyrim has had my heart for over a decade. It’s inspired me to create videos, have my first try at voice acting, create cosplays (one of which is my biggest ever that’s not even close to being finished), drawings, learn skills I’ve never tried, and literally even got me to the gym to become strong like my tav, Kaerys. My friends and significant other can begrudgingly tell you about my obsession for the love story between my tav and Astarion (who in the character itself has helped me make further strides in my mental health journey and recovery AND has me dealing with one hell of a fictional character crush…so thanks @neilnewbon, a true talent and seems like a genuinely good guy with also the most killer fashion). And dear gods it doesn’t seem over by a long shot, so good luck to us all!

And good luck to me in case I ever speak to any of you as I pour my dumbass heart out on the internet to strangers.

Also thanks for the super fun mental health relapse that’s lasted the longest it has in 6 years. I’ll be forwarding my therapy bills to you, Larian, thank you <3

But for real. CONGRATULATIONS! Here’s to 300+ more hours dedicating my creativity and to this inspiration of a game.

Fixing issues before they develop into actual disasters is such an underappreciated thing it hurts at all levels.

We don't talk about acid rain because there isn't any more acid rain because when acid rain started happening and we learned that the cause was mainly sulphur oxide and carbon monooxide from car exhausts, countries all over the world made it a law that car companies had to produce cars that produced less exhaust with better effectivenes (burning the fuel all the way to CO2 instead of the halfassed CO) and oil rafineries to remove the sulphur from the gasoline in the first place.

We don't talk about computers crashing because of the turn of the century, because thousands of programmers worked very hard to write updates and patches for Every Single Program humanity as a whole used back in 1999 and then somehow managed to failtest, distribute, and update every single device and system, be it an online or offline one before the midnight of the 1st january of 2000.

On a much smaller scale, no one ever commenta or notices cleaners and housekeepers doing their job - be it at home or at whole buildings - because they always make sure that there's nothing to notice. But don't be fooled - at any point of your life you are one week of them not doing away from swimming in trash and filth with nothing to eat and nothing clean to wear. Only then you would notice.

Now it's time to do that thing again and make sure that we don't kill our whole planetary ecosystem within the next century.
