Almost a decade ago I was with my uncle Tony (as well as some more of the extended family) posing with statues in the streets of Boston. Ah, the days when we could travel... Iām working on a variety of flowers with different petals, leaves, and stems, but this is one of the bouquet flowers. We chose red as the main colour for these roses before we realised it had greater significance; both our mothers had red roses too. Drawing: the view from the window ______________________________________ I grew up in county Tasmania, far from major light pollution, and especially as a teenager the isolation wasnāt always welcome. In summer when night fell late and the light from our house was the only light within a kilometre, the moths would get confused and spend hours at the windows.
