being a dancer it is very important for yuto to never skip leg day. although he takes the daily commute to the practice room when not taking dance classes, one day a week is dedicated to physical training. his intention has never been to grow muscles for body building or anything of the sort, and if people look at him fully clothed they might never even expect that he is as muscular as he is. but for dancing he needs both strength and stamina, and although it’s a tedious chore, he has made it into a habit he would rather not be without now.
he has visited this particular gym since he was old enough to use the machines on his own, and while it was distressing in the beginning, he has come to grow familiar with most of the regulars and even find enjoyment in talking to some of them. especially the tower of a man known as kang dongho. yuto often feels as though he takes up more than double the space he himself does in sheer muscle mass, but that is an exaggeration he knows.
upon entering the establishment he sees the older male already well underway with his warm up on the exercise bike, and he greets the guy with a “hello hyung,” before tossing his bag into a free locker, and takes up the neighbouring bike. “did you wait long? today i’ll definitely do more kilometres than you.”
Baekho doesn’t live at the gym nearly as much as he did when he was younger, or even during his service. Other parts of his life have taken priority since he moved back to Seoul, like constantly working on his singing and his networking, and looking for every opportunity to put himself out in the spotlight to try and catch the attention of someone with the power to put a contract in his hands.
But that’s not to say he doesn’t still spend a lot of time at the gym. He makes sure to go weekly, usually multiple times a week, and while his focus has almost always been his arms and chest, he makes sure to spread his workout out and to give other parts of his body attention, as well. Cardio has always been something he pays careful attention to, and his stamina as well, and it’s why he always makes sure to start his visit to the gym with a warm up on either a treadmill or an exercise bike.
It’s a bike, today, with one earphone in place and his phone tucked into a holder attached to the handle bars and a towel draped over the interface of the machine. He’s sitting up with his hands on his legs, and it makes it easy to turn his head and flash a grin when he hears a familiar voice.
“Yuyu,” Baekho chimes, reaching for the towel to wipe his face, his legs never stopping. “I only just started. If you’re quick enough, you might even catch up.”
