&& RNGBRGLR. hello and welcome! this blog is a movie based bilbo baggins rp blog. i haven't been in this fandom in quite a long time, maybe some of you will remember a personified sting rp blog that went by spidersbane. this bilbo is written by alcohol who is 30+ years old she/her pronouns

RULE ONE. first off. i go by alcohol here, i have been for a while now and it’s just stuck over the year or two using it. i’m 30 years old, my pronouns are she/her and i live in the CMT timezone. i have a fulltime job and it’s a monday - friday 10am-4pm so i might be tired by the time i get home, so be patient!! this blog is for fun so if you start pestering me about a reply it’ll get less and less fun and more about timelines and it’ll stress me out. any and all hate will be deleted and blocked as well. i suffer from depression and anxiety so this place is the one place i can enjoy and escape the world and i don’t want that ruined. 

RULE TWO. this blog is independent(not affiliated with any group) selective(will be picky on who i follow/follow back), private (i only rp with people who are mutuals with me). so please be aware of that when following me. at this time i don’t have any main’s 

RULE THREE. there will be no god modding on this blog. that means what my character does is controlled by me and me alone, unless you ask me about a fight sequence where my character gets hurt, don’t make it so your character hits mine, instead go something like “they aim to hit--” that way i can decide if the hit actually makes contact or not, making it more fun to rp with you!

RULE FOUR. this blog is multiship. what that means is that i will have multiple ships going at once and unless it is stated that my character is cheating, just assume that every ship takes place in another universe. as well as multiship this blog is multiverse meaning that there will be different AUs going on where my character is in other worlds, in other words it’s like a crossover. 

RULE FIVE. there might be smut on this blog, and i will tag it as nsfw if things happen! i however don’t do “readmore” so follow at your own risk! everything that might be trigger inducing will be tagged as “___ warning” and if you want something else tagged just let me know and i’ll tag it for you! 

RULE SIX.  this blog is not safe for personal blogs to follow. unless your personal blog has an rp blog attached to it i will block you, so be sure to let me know that you have an rp blog if that’s the case! 

RULE SEVEN. i do rp with OCs and i really enjoy it! however i will need a bit of an about to go by so i know how my character will react to yours or how to even go about making you starters! 

RULE EIGHT.  the only thing that i wish to be triggered is bdsm/rape/noncon/torture as well as visuals on needles and if you could tag those as “hdl” that would be fantastic!

eyes took in the giant beast that had in fact had an ax in it's maw, something that made the hobbit back away in fear. last time he dealt with a creature as big as the one in front of him there was blood and screams that surrounded him. so forgive him if he holds his hand against his heart to calm himself down.

giant bee's, the scent of fresh honey was rich in the air around them as bilbo found his way through biorn's garden. yes there had been orcs around the farmland, but the hobbit had heard from the wizard that they wouldn't dare trek their way through in fear of their host. so of course bilbo had figured that since that was the case, that journeying around the small fields couldn't be of any harm.

seems though he was wrong as he got a talking to by the leader of the company, to which the hobbit stuffed the acorn that he had found in his pocket the moment he heard thorin speak.

"you needn't worry, i wasn't going to be gone for long," he answered, trying not to make thorin too upset at the fact that he ventured from the group. "i just wanted to look at what biorn had growing, maybe pick up a few inspirations for my own garden back home."

because of @okenskeld asking me about if bilbo knew what the ring was doing to him---i have to post my response here for you guys to see my thoughts on it too!

just looking at that scene and seeing the anguish in bilbo's eyes the moment he realizes what he's done [to the small spider creature] and what the ring is ALREADY doing to him?? he knows for sure what's going on. but at the same time he has doubts in himself. without the ring he would have never have gotten out of the goblin tunnels, without the ring he wouldn't be where he is right then and there. without it he feels like he won't be any help to thorin or the company.

i can see him mulling it over MANY times on his walk through the mirkwood forest to rescue the company, on how bad this ring really is but the pro's always outweighed the cons because i can see the ring being the thing that plants the doubts in bilbo's mind without him realizing it. just imagining it whispering to him "without me you won't get far, you were moments away from being killed back in gollum's cave, without me you wouldn't have found your 'courage' blah blah blah."

so yes, he recognizes it, but the ring is a tricky thing and kinda manipulates him to keeping it

Crickets chirp happily in a garden well taken care of, the flashing lights of fireflies float by every so often. water rushed over soiled hands as bilbo was cleaning away all the dirt and grime from the day of laboring in his garden. he knew that the cucumbers were quickly overbearing his pantry, this year was a wonderful harvest for the vegetables, but he was beginning to worry that they'll go bad thanks to the copious amount.

it was why he was thankful he lived in such a lively community. he'd spend the day tomorrow venturing around his neighborhood, offering some freshly grown cucumbers in order to be rid of them. that was his plan anyway, and he'd stick to it weather permitting.

he had been so lost in his thoughts of tomorrow that he didn't hear thorin come in the kitchen. hands rubbing against the towel so they could dry quickly, he turned to the other.

"heavens, you've startled me," he voiced lightly in a cheerful tone, even if thorin spoke in a soft tone themself, bilbo was so stuck in his own mind that he didn't see this coming. eyes looked downward at the bead that was offered. "oh, thorin, it's beautiful," his words were almost a whisper as he looked at the craftsmanship. he loved everything thorin made, the hobbit could tell just how much love and devotion the dwarf gave to each and every thing they created.

but wait.

"that's for me?" he didn't know how long his hair has gotten since last he cut it, but with how thorin looked, they seemed to want to braid his hair and who was bilbo to say no? "yeah, yeah, of course! not sure how tangled my hair has gotten these days, but you can surely do whatever you want, i'll just--" he set the towel down and walked past thorin, now on a mission. "get a comb."

Bilbo "burglar" Baggins

One would assume merriment after such arduous quest, for joy to saturate the air but such is not in the halls of this mountain home. There may be relief but the light that shines is tinged bitter, for weeks now still lay the body of one Thorin Oakenshield. Sweat beads the brow, hair now twisted in knots despite the wash the locks received. The images that flash behind closed eyes are one of blood, pain, suffering; a long fought war that they see ending differently.

At first there had been nothing, only the absences of pain and a sorrow that one could not wholly and truly explain as a dulling gaze met wet eyes. What they believed to be their last words spoken, an apology and also a call for hope, peace. Let the world be a merrier place, let it be brighter, happier, with folks like their hobbit.

But soon from the darkness came a full bodied pain and image after image of a mind wracked with fever until all at once it comes to head. In their hand their sword, their feet slip across the ice but try as they might to reach the other side they aren't steady enough, fast enough, strong enough and Bilbo... their hobbit, their burglar--

When their eyes open they see nothing at first, they hear nothing but the pounding of their own heart and images of kin and friends dead and gone. There is a weight on their chest it feels, holding them down but it doesn't deter them from reaching out still searching, "Bilbo! Where--!"

Finally eyes focus, blinking through a fog until all Thorin can see is Bilbo. Their hand lifts and reaches out overlapping with the hobbit's own where thick fingers squeeze and it is like a breath of fresh air. He is real and he is here. There is no dirt beneath their nails, no grim, mud, dirt that stain their hands and should they look down they would see their clothes fresh as well.

"I've no words.." they confesses, voice cracking from their time asleep, "I had seen.. thought we were all done." Relief paints their face, heavy brows relaxing with it. "And yet here you are."

days , weeks, months--bilbo didn't know how long he had been lingering around the infirmary as thorin healed from the battle upon battle upon battle they had went through. everything blended into one long lifetime, he forgot when days turned into nights and vice versa. the other's kept telling him to go and get fresh air, that the underground wasn't good for one's health in such a dire situation. but bilbo ignored them for the most part, only when he was in charge of collecting water from the lake for the large group would he leave his post and go with a small trope of dwarves to the surface.

he needed to be here when they woke up, he INSISTED on it. he wasn't going to do anything else save eating and sleeping (and only then was it a couple hours if that, not to mention he wouldn't leave thorin's side when doing so). there would be an odd complaint here and there from the hobbit about how his neck was riddled with kinks, but those were few and far between for he knew better than to whine when the king was fighting for their life every second of every day.

it's how he was found when thorin started to wake. head resting against his arms which were resting on the side of the bed that thorin had been recovering on, there almost being a whistle to his breaths. the moment he felt movement from the other bilbo's eyes snapped open, head rising quickly from where he had been.

for a second in time bilbo forgot how to breath as he saw thorin open their eyes. in an instant he gathered the dwarf's hand in both of his own, voicing his thoughts with tears already starting to trickle down his face.

"yeah.." he swallowed, his breath hitching after his mind remembered how. "i know, but..but don't you worry, it's okay, we're okay..you're okay." his hands did their best not to squeeze thorin's too tightly, but he wanted them to know that this was real.

they all survived. and what a joy that was.
