An accomplished musician, Rob Aster has produced original music for numerous high-profile televised sports events. Over 200 million people have heard music that he and his collaborators at RRHOT (Radical Rob’s House of Tunes) have created for CBS Sports in 2013 alone. Some of the projects produced by Rob Aster and his RRHOT creative team include a March Madness Promotional campaign featuring award winning actor Samuel L. Jackson, Thanksgiving Day NFL Game Show Open featuring Hall of Fame Sportscaster Pat Summerall, and music for the “Harbaugh Bowl”, Superbowl XLVII. That game featured two brothers coaching against each other for the first time in Superbowl history. According to Nielsen, Superbowl XLVII was viewed by an estimated 108 million people in the U.S., with a record 164 million tuning into at least six minutes of that game. Rob Aster and long-time collaborator David Dachinger began playing music together in high school, after which they each went on to study music in college and start professional music careers. They re-connected in the mid-1990s, when they began producing background and theme music for television programs such as Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and Dateline. They soon attracted the attention of CBS Sports, which has since used a steady supply of their music for many high-profile broadcasts. Rob Aster’s independent music production company, RRHOT LLC (Radical Rob’s House of Tunes), has released a number of their original compositions on iTunes, including their album Master Works: Soundtrack Music From and Inspired by Golf’s Majors on CBS.

New York Giants Pays Homage to Classic Uniform

With a focus on music and business, Rob Aster graduated with a bachelors from the University of Miami and has over two decades of music industry experience. Currently serving as the managing partner and owner of Radical Rob’s House of Tunes in Florida, Rob Aster produces original music for CBS Sports programming ranging from National Football League (NFL) games to Professional Golfers’ Association tour events. When he is not composing music, Mr. Aster enjoys following his favorite football team, the New York Giants. Although they lost 19-24 to the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday, December 22, 2016, the New York Giants sported a look that was familiar to fans of the team from the 1980s to 1990s. The team donned their retro NFL Color Rush uniforms during that event, honoring the organization’s historic era. The NFL Color Rush event debuted last season, sponsored by the NFL to commemorate the league’s 50 years of games broadcast in color. The Color Rush alternative jerseys appeared in four “Thursday Night Football” contests in 2015, making a memorable impact. The Giants paid homage to their 1980s and 1990s championship teams by wearing the retro all white road jerseys with blue numbers and red outlined trim. The throwback uniforms were a modern update to those of the timeless 1980s era. Ring of Honor member and former Giants linebacker Carl Banks holds an emotional connection to the special jerseys and believes they restore a sense of winning and pride to the organization’s football program.
