Looking for help submitting a feel good story to WFAA or comparable news outlet. My husband and I commissioned an aspiring young artist to paint a picture of an elephant (representing me) and a lion (representing my husband) in “love”. When the initial rendering began I was surprised the lion seemed to need help, but since the artist was young, my husband and I didn’t change the scope or direction. The day after the picture was complete my husband was unexpectedly hospitalized (he’s in a long term care facility today). The foreshadowing leaves me speechless. For this artist to nail a moment in time... I would like to ask for help from a mom who knows how to submit a feel good story to the news media to highlight this remarkable young man and perhaps film him showing the painting live to my husband for the first time? We wanted to have him and his mother (single mom) and brother over for a dinner as a thank you when we paid him, but that’s been delayed. Ideas? My fav story is that when Dad played football for Army, he started in a game against Cal Berkeley. The opposing lineman was my dentist in HS. Yikes! I remember asking Dad, what happened to make you remember this guy? Do I really want him working on my teeth?”
