This is a banner I created for the ‘Save the Benny Forest’ campaign going on in Northern Ontario right now.

The Benny Forest is a forest near Sudbury Ontario, containing old growth trees, ancient/ traditional First Nations hunting and burial grounds; and many medicinal plants still harvested by the Indigenous peoples of the area today. This forest is habitat as well to many animal and bird species.

Camp Eagle Nest also calls the Benny Forest its home - a camp that “aims to provide wilderness and arts camps for children and youth based on cultural knowledge and leadership of Anishinaabek and other First Peoples of Canada.”

The Benny Forest is currently being threatened by logging/ clear cutting, aerial spraying (of herbicides and more), toxic waste dumping, littering and more.
