Molly Wood from CNET slagging a company off for surviving & innovating in hard times. Heaven forbid they reinvent themselves to avoid being inundated in cheap Lego rip offs and lesser quality competitors. Yes it's expensive and yes they get loads of film tie-ups, but have you been to Toys R Us recently? There's Imaginex Batman. There's Star Wars Angry Burds mash ups. There's a Hobbit board game for crying out loud. It's consumerism at its best. And personally I love all the Lego co-branded stuff and yes known several Star Wars Lego sets and yes I'm 35 years old! My kids are creative enough to use Lego in imaginative play and build stuff from their own imagination! Seems the issue is you and your kids, not Lego. In other news CNET writes yet more link bait articles that generate pageviews for their ad execs. Why am I being sucked in?
