I’ve made a post on this before actually!

While I believe in this particular case this was was more than likely a reference to this scene from 2001: A Space Oddysey, as that popularized the concept of robots singing this song in pop culture, I believe the scene in that movie was in turn a reference to the first computer to sing.

Daisy Bell has been claimed by the robots, I’m sure you’d be able to find a few other references with machines singing that song in media.
