๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก๐จ๐ซโ๐ฌ ๐ง๐จ๐ญ๐. this chapter is a little darker than the first. i am trying to write a canon accurate naoya. nothing truly explicit happens in this chapter. please read the warnings and read at your own discretion.
The following weeks after the decision to join your family with the Zenโins felt like an eternity to you. The impending doom of being sold off was eating away at you. The life you imagined for yourself slipped away before you even had a chance to experience it. You barely ate and barely spoke to anyone. Your father tried to talk to you. He stopped after a few days when he realized that his attempts were futile.
The days you had remaining were spent walking aimlessly around your home. You tried to find comfort in the space you spent your entire life in, but you felt no warmth. All of the memories you had built here were tarnished. They all brought you back to the night where your father betrayed you.
You hated him. You resented him. A moment of weakness and insecurity destroyed your image of him. How could he agree to marry you off to someone he didnโt even know? He didnโt know what kind of situation he was putting you in. But as long as he could feel like he mattered. What a coward.
Grief came in waves. Grief for the life you lived. For the life you were never going to get to live. For the friends you might never see again. Who would protect Kaoru when she got scared? Who would be there to lift Hisui up when he was too hard on himself?
Who would be there to make sure that you were okay?
โThe only reason I agreed to this was because I think youโre easy on the eyes.โ
That was the last thing Naoya had said to you before he and his father left your home. Those words made your stomach turn into knots. The hate in his voice made your skin crawl. You knew he wouldnโt be kind to you.
Marriage hadnโt ever been something that you thought long or hard about. Sorcerers didnโt always have the time or the privilege of something so precious or intimate. You imagined most of your time would be spent killing curses. Though, if the thought ever crossed your mind, you imagined marrying someone who was considerate. Someone who would never make you second guess yourself. Someone who made you laugh.
Someone like Hisui.
The realization hit you like a brick wall.
You never took the time to consider that you had feelings for Hisui. Between school and trying to master your cursed technique, you let the signs and the time pass you by. Late nights after missions spent staying up together, telling each other stories. Laughing until your bellies hurt. Glances that always just lasted a little too long.
But the two of you were just friends. Best friends.
You couldnโt marry Naoya. You needed to find a way out of this, and it needed to be fast.
Your cellphone hadnโt been touched in weeks. You had been feeling too sorry for yourself to speak to anyone. Maybe this was your way out.
Quickly pacing down the halls, you made your way into your bedroom. Before closing the door, you looked both ways to make sure that no one was around to hear you. The phone that was sitting on your night stand was like a beacon to freedom.
With shaking hands, you flipped your phone open before scrolling through your contacts to find Hisuiโs phone number. You hit the dial button and held the phone up to your ear.
โPlease answerโฆโ you whispered to yourself as the phone hummed into your ear.
After a few rings, a voice that melted all of your worries away filled your ears. โHey, big shot! Havenโt heard from you in forever. Fight any special grades, yet?โ Hisui exclaimed, unaware of the horrors you had been facing the last couple of weeks.
You let out a nervous chuckle. โNo, not yet unfortunately.โ There was a pause. You knew what you were doing was stupid, but you had no other choice. โDo you think you could meet me at my house later tonight? I canโt really explain it right now, but I will once you get here.โ Your voice was hushed. There was no way you could risk your father hearing you.
โUmmmโฆ yeah. I can be there. Is everything okay?โ Hisui asked, trying to figure out what was going on. He had never heard you speak like this. Like you were trying to hide from someone.
โYeah, yeah. I am great. I justโฆ I just miss you. I canโt really get into it right now. Just be here when it gets dark,โ you explained.
Hisui was grateful that you couldnโt see him on the other side of the phone. He was blushing from ear to ear. You really missed him?
โOkay, Iโll be there. Do you want me to bring Kaoru, too?โ He asked, so naive to the situation.
โNo! No, donโt bring her. I will talk to you later.โ
You snapped your phone shut, ending the call before Hisui could even respond to you. Time was of the essence now. You had to figure out a way to sneak off into the night with him without being caught or noticed.
Rummaging through your drawers, you packed a few outfits to take with you. You knew you couldnโt take much. You would have to start your life over. You would have to become a different person. The thought was so overwhelming, but the first thing you needed to do was get out.
Your father calling your name from down the hall made you nearly jump out of your skin. Did he hear your phone call with Hisui? This was the first time he had spoken to you in days. There was no way this could be good.
Leaving your small go-bag on your bed, you hesitantly stepped out of your bedroom and into the hall.
โWhat do you want?โ You asked resentfully as you followed the sound of his voice to the front of your home.
โNow that is no way to speak to the man that raised you,โ a familiar voice teased.
You choked on your breath when you realized who it was.
Naoya.
His fox-like eyes scrutinized you the second you stepped into the room. You were just a possession to him. Not someone worth respecting. He looked at you like a piece of meat.
Next to him was his own father, Naobito. The pungent smell of liquor filled the space around him.
โWhat are they doing here?โ You spat, trying not to give Naoya the pleasure of a reaction.
โYou arenโt excited to see your fiancรฉ?โ Naoya asked, feigning offense. Your audacity pissed him off. In a way, it was exciting. To him, you were something that he could break and mold. He was determined to teach you a womanโs place.
โI can hardly find a reason to be excited about something I have no say in,โ you said, not hiding the fact that you were repulsed by the situation.
โYoung love,โ Naobito said sarcastically, not naive to the irony of his words. He knew there was no love in a political marriage. Love was for storybooks. He valued the strength of the Zenโin family more than the feelings of some little girl.
โNaobito and Naoya have come to discuss the terms of our arrangement,โ your father explained with no emotion in his voice. โThe ceremony will be held in a weekโs time. And you will leave with them today.โ
No.
โI canโt stay here until then?โ You asked, trying to buy yourself some time. Hisui was on his way. He didnโt even know what was going on.
โIt would be best that you just do as youโre told. You are much prettier when your mouth is shut, anyway,โ Naoya sneered. He knew he would be able to break you down eventually. No challenge was too hard for him. โSince I am such a good person, I think I will let my future wife pack a few things to remember home before we head out.โ
Maybe this was your chance. You could just jump out of your window and run as fast as you could. โYeah. Sure. Iโll go do that right now,โ you said as you turned around to quickly make your way back to your room. A burst of air flew past you on your way to your room. In an instant, Naoya was walking right in front of you. He was fast. Too fast. You needed to be smart.
โYou will learn to walk behind me,โ Naoya informed you as he walked down the hall. He peeked into each room, trying to discern which one was yours.
โDo you treat all women like this? Or am I just the lucky one?โ You asked dryly as you tried to push past him. You couldnโt let him see the packed bag on your bed. Your plan would be ruined. The last thing you wanted to do was fight him. You knew nothing about his cursed technique. The only thing you knew was that he was strong and incredibly fast.
Naoya grabbed your arm as you tried to walk past him. โI donโt like repeating myself,โ he snarled as his fingers dug into your flesh. His grasp was hard enough to leave bruises. โYou are beneath me. If we have to do this the hard way, then so be it.โ It wasnโt a warning. It was a promise.
Naoya let go of your arm when he realized that he was standing right outside of your bedroom. He stepped in, analyzing the space. His eyes landed on a picture frame on your nightstand. It was a picture of you and Hisui from your days at Kyoto Jujutsu High. You looked happy with him. As much as you infuriated him, the thought of another man bringing you any kind of joy pissed him off. He didnโt want you to have any reminder of that. โYou wonโt be taking this,โ he ordered as he dropped the picture on the floor. The glass in the frame cracking echoed throughout the room.
You gasped as the frame hit the floor. Though your shock was short lived as you realized you needed to do something about your already packed bag. Naoya would know that you were trying to run away. There was no way you could have known that they were coming to bring you back to the Zenโin estate, so why else would you have been packing?
Moving over to your bed, you quickly grabbed the bag to move over to your dresser, pretending like you were filling it with clothes. You nearly let out a sigh of relief when you saw that Naoya didnโt notice. But you felt a chill run up your spine when you felt him standing right behind you. His chest was flush against your back.
โDonโt worry yourself with bringing these rags. I will decide what you wear from now on,โ he nearly hummed as he took the bag out of your hand and dropped it onto the floor. His ideal wife would be the picture of femininity. He would expect nothing but perfection from you.
Turning your head to look up at him with a sour look on your face, you asked, โThen why did you even bring me in here if I canโt pack anything.โ Your heart was racing when you felt himself press closer against your body. Even under all his layers, you could feel how muscular he was.
โI wanted to get you alone. Can I not spend some time alone with my fiancรฉe?โ He whispered into your ear as he brushed your hair behind it. โWe are going to be so busy this week. So many people. So many boring gatherings. I just wanted to give you a glimpse of what it will mean to be mine.โ
An audible gulp left your throat as you tried to twist out of his grasp. Your eyes were set on the window as you felt his lips brush against the shell of your ear. โPlease let me go.โ It felt beneath you to beg anyone, let alone him. In this moment, you felt a desperation that you could only describe as panic.
โNo. I donโt think I will,โ Naoya said simply as he bit your earlobe. As soon as your father agreed to the marriage, Naoya decided you belonged to him. Mind, body and soul.
You yelped as you pushed yourself away from him. There was only a few feet between him and freedom. There was no other choice now other than to run. And you did. As fast as you could.
You were too slow.
You had barely even broken out of Naoyaโs grasp before he grabbed your midsection. You were frozen in place. Was this his technique? You tried to figure out how his technique worked as you felt his arms pull you flush against him. You were trembling as his hand splayed his fingers against your belly.
โSee this isnโt so bad?โ Naoya hummed quietly into your ear. โAll you have to do is be my good little wife and give me what I want. It doesnโt have to be such a hassle.โ He paused, amused with himself. โI am so much stronger than you anyway. So donโt even think of using your pathetic technique against me.โ
After a few seconds passed, you felt the effects of his technique wear off. You debated with yourself on whether or not it was worth it to try to run again. It didnโt take long to decide that it wasnโt.
There will be another time, you promised yourself.
โNow whatโs taking you so long!โ A loud voice bellowed from down the hall. Naobito was growing impatient. There were too many tasks that needed to be attended to. He didnโt have time for his sonโs antics.
Naobito was followed closely by your father as they walked down the hallway to the entrance of your room. They were greeted by the sight of Naoya latched onto you, looking like he was ready to devour you. Naobito paid no mind to it, but your father looked horrified. Again, he swallowed down his guilt and chased it with his pride.
โThe sun is setting. I would like to get home before nightfall,โ Naobito groaned.
The sun was setting? You hadnโt even been paying attention to the time. Hisui was on his way, and you knew he would arrive soon. There was no way you could stop him now.
The timing was tragically comical. A knock was heard from the front door. The sound echoed down the hall as you felt doom fill every part of your body.
Naoya loosened his hold on you as he walked over to his fatherโs side. โExpecting any visitors?โ He asked.
โNo, it was just supposed to be the two of you,โ your father promised. He had no idea who was on the other side of the door.
Walking down the hall like he owned the place, Naoya strolled to the door. He was ever so curious who would be calling at this hour. He opened the door, shocked by the sight that greeted him.
The boy from the picture in your room. The one you looked so happy with.
Hisui looked at Naoya with confusion in his eyes. He recognized him from your graduation party. Why was he back? Was he a friend of your fatherโs? Even soโฆ why was he the one answering the door?
โWhat is a third-rate like you doing here?โ Naoya asked, not caring how offensive he sounded.
Hisui was never overly confident. He always had you by his side to reassure him. To let him know that he was a good person and a good sorcerer. But standing in the presence of Naoya, he was terrified. His cursed energy was as strong as yours, maybe even stronger. He wanted to turn tail and run, but he wanted to make sure that you were okay.
Hisui hesitantly informed Naoya that you were the one that asked him to come over. He didnโt see the harm in it.
โShe did, did she?โ Naoya asked with a pleasant tone that betrayed how he really felt. โDid she invite you over to meet her fiancรฉ?โ He smirked, proud of himself. There was no way this little boy knew the two of you were engaged.
The color in Hisuiโs face drained when Naoyaโs words hit his ears. He saw you rush down the hallway. For him, time started to slow down. There was no way this was real. โF-Fiancรฉ?โ He asked quietly. He saw his own panic reflected in you. โAre you saying that you-.โ
โThatโs exactly what I am saying. She will be my wife in a weekโs time. Isnโt that lovely?โ Naoya taunted. The pleasure he gained from crushing the little cretinโs heart was insurmountable. โNow, I would suggest you leave promptly. That is if you value your life.โ
โHisui, I can explain!โ You shouted as you tried to push past Naoya. Your father grabbed your wrist, pulling you back.
Naoya laughed so loud that it nearly made you jump out of your skin. โHisui, is it? This will be the last time you ever see her. If I ever see you near her again, Iโll kill you.โ
Before Hisui could say anything, before he could try to get you out of there, the door was slammed in his face. This was what you were trying to explain to him earlier. He felt stupid for not getting there quicker. Maybe he could have saved you.
Unlessโฆ this was what you wanted. Maybe it was your idea to marry someone who was just as powerful as you were. Though the look in your eyes let him know that just simply wasnโt true. He was no match for Naoya. For his own safety, at least then, he knew he had to leave. This wouldnโt be the last time he would see you. He promised himself that.
โWhy would you do that?!โ You shouted hysterically as tears began to well in your eyes.
โNothing I said was wrong,โ Naoya pointed out. โYou can forget the life you had here. Donโt worry about packing.โ
You didnโt bother yourself with saying goodbye to your father. There was no point. He would rather see you like this than what he raised you to be.
In a weekโs time, you wouldnโt be yourself anymore. You would be Naoyaโs wife. His accessory. Your identity and power would be forgotten with time.
also, for those of you who are waiting for part four of smoke between us, i am currently working on it! i started writing it this past weekend. i promise i didnโt forget about it.

Springtime had arrived in Japan. Cherry blossoms were in full bloom and there was a sweetness in the air that carried hope for the future. You were a recent graduate from Kyoto Jujutsu High. A strong, young sorcerer from a small family with the world at her fingertips. You were determined to remain strong and protect people from curses.
A noble life, indeed.
After you returned home, your family celebrated your graduation. You had been the strongest sorcerer your family had seen in generations. You possessed an inherited technique that your family hadnโt seen in hundreds of years and put you on the radar of Jujutsu Society. As an only child and the strongest in your family, your success was their success. It was both a blessing and a curse.
Word of your gifts had traveled far and wide to the other families within Jujustu Society, the Gojoโs, the Kamoโs and the Zenโinโs. Your father invited members from each of these clans to celebrate your graduation. It was his hope that you would be the key to make a name for your family within Jujutsu Society. Apart from raising you into a strong woman, your fatherโs biggest goal was to share a table with the head of each of these clans. Notoriety and power was not something he had truly ever possessed. His own cursed technique was nothing to brag about or celebrate. He had to find other ways to make a name for himself.
On the night of the party, the sun hung low in the sky. Shades of dusty rose and vibrant orange laid glow to your home. Guests slowly started to pour in as your father made sure to pay extra attention to the members of the more notable families as they arrived. Pleasant conversation carried on as food and drink were shared.
All of the attention was on you. Your father watched as you spoke with a young boy that you attended Jujutsu High with. A third year boy that you had grown close with. It filled him with an annoyance that was unbecoming of him. He invited all of these notable members of Jujutsu society, and there you wereโฆ giving your attention to a boy from a family that no one important knew of.
In the middle of the room, your father spotted Naobito Zenโin, the head of the Zenโin clan. In his hand, he held a cup that always seemed to be full of sake. A timid woman stood behind him, ready to fill his cup before he even had to ask. Next to him stood a young man. Naobitoโs son, Naoya. Striking and ever so proud of himself. The two men looked at everyone in the room like they werenโt worth their time.
Your father made his way past the other guests to formally introduce himself to Naobito. His heart beat fast in his chest as he approached him.
Before exchanging pleasantries, your father bowed to Naobito as a sign of respect. โI hope you are enjoying yourself. Please let me know if there is anything I can get for you. Food. Drink. There is plenty to go around. It is a celebration after all.โ
Naoya scoffed at the sentiment. Celebrating a woman was beneath him. The only reason he came was because his father told him that it was important to attend events like this, no matter how boring they were. He was assumed to be the next head of the clan, so he had to learn how to endure things like these. He needed to learn to make allies that he could use.
Naobito took a long drink from his cup. He wiped away the bitter liquid from his chin. โYour girlโฆ sheโs strong?โ He asked, not really interested in small talk. His eyes glanced over to you. Powerful cursed energy swirled and danced around you. It was beautiful and terrifying.
You stood out to him in the crowded room. You were a prize waiting to be claimed. Your strength could be used to his advantage.
Your father loved gushing about your gifts to anyone who would lend an ear. He father began explaining, โYes! She graduated from Kyoto with high honors. She has excelled at harnessing her cursed techniqโโ
โWhat a joke!โ Naoya exclaimed, not wanting to waste his time listening to the so-called โtalentsโ of a woman. He hated women who tried to put themselves up on a pedestal. Women were meant to serve men. To carry their babies and care for the home. Any woman who boasted and flaunted โstrengthโ needed to be knocked down a peg or two.
Naoya had glanced at you a couple of times. You were far too pretty to be worrying yourself with the business of men.
โNaoya!โ Naobito hissed. He wasnโt going to argue about ethics and make a scene. Not when the room was filled with members from the other big families. โExcuse him. I am still teaching him manners.โ
Your father looked confused and shocked at the exchange. He couldnโt make a reason for it, but he also had his pride and his family name on the line. โItโs no problem at all. I understand how young men can be,โ your father said, even though he didnโt necessarily agree with it.
Naobito made a grunt in agreement. One of his hands made contact with your fatherโs shoulder, giving it a squeeze. โI would like to discuss business with you. I think I might have an offer you canโt refuse.โ
Your fatherโs eyes lit up wide. He was willing to accept any offer thrown his way if it meant that he could get in good with the Zenโin clan. โI think that sounds like a brilliant idea.โ
Across the crowded room, you were making idle chatter with your friends from school. Fellow graduates and the like.
โSo whatโs it feel like being a big, strong sorcerer?โ Your closest friend, Hisui, asked with a grin spread wide across his face. โI canโt believe all these people are here to celebrate you.โ
You rolled your eyes playfully, knowing that he was teasing you. โI didnโt even think it was that big of a deal. My dad planned all of this out.โ You were strong, yeah, but you were no Satoru Gojo, who was not in attendance that night. You heard about how strong he was. The six eyes and limitless technique were unreal. You knew you werenโt that strong, but you hoped you could be a person that people could depend on when they needed to be saved.
โSome of them are kind of scary,โ your friend, Kaoru, admitted timidly. She was still a third year. Still trying to find her place with her cursed technique. You had always made a point of sticking up for her.
โThey are just a bunch of guys who think they are all more important than each other,โ you explained, trying to reassure your friend.
Your eyes scanned the room to search for your father. He was on the opposite side talking to two men. One old and one younger. Father and son, you assumed. Your father seemed to be having an important conversation with the older man. You felt your skin crawl when you made eye contact with the son. A tall, blond haired man. It felt like he was staring daggers into you. It felt like a look of both intrigue and disgust.
Hisuiโs voice pulled you back into the moment.
โSoโฆ I guess you are gonna be gone a lot? I am sure you are gonna be sent on lots of missions,โ Hisui said, his jovial expression faltering for a moment. He wasnโt as strong as you. He wasnโt jealous of you. In fact, he admired you. The thought of not being able to see you as often made his heart sink into his stomach.
โOh, donโt you start getting sentimental on me all of a sudden, Hisui! Just because I am going on missions doesnโt mean that I canโt make time for my best friend,โ you assured him. Not only were you becoming a skilled sorcerer, but you always tried your best to be a good friend first.
โYeah, best friends,โ Hisui repeated with a small smile as he tried to feign gratitude. He knew he was out of your league. He knew better than to try and ruin your friendship by confessing that he had a crush on you. You were a grade one sorcerer who had everyoneโs attention. All eyes were on you. He didnโt want to be the one to hold you back. He would never forgive himself for that.
As the night came to an end, guests slowly started making their leave. Your friends said their goodbyes and a melancholy you couldnโt quite place washed over you. You promised yourself that this wouldnโt be the last time you would see them. The silence that started to fill the room felt all consuming.
Your father calling your name pulled you out of your head. An anxious smile was on his face. You had a sinking feeling in your gut. He had never looked at you that way.
โIs everything okay? Did you want me to start cleaning up?โ you asked as you noticed all the empty cups and plates laying around on tables.
โNo, no. Donโt worry about that. I will take care of it later,โ your father said with a gentle but eager voice. โCome to my study. There are some people that I would like you to meet.โ
You followed your father down the hall and into his study. Nothing could prepare you for what would happen next.
Stepping into the room, you saw the father and son that your own father was speaking with earlier in the evening. โDear, this is Naobito Zenโin. He is the head of the Zenโin clan. And his son Naoya.โ
โItโs a pleasure to meet you,โ you said as you reached your hand out to shake Naobitoโs, but your offer went cold as he did not reciprocate it. You could smell the sharp notes of liquor oozing from his very pores. The smile on your face fell as you started to realize something was off. You looked over to your father, who looked more anxious than you. โWhatโs going on?โ You asked your father quietly.
โWell.. you see,โ your father began, his voice unsteady. โNaobito and I were speaking about you and your gifts. We agree that you are very strong. And so is his son Naoya.โ
Your heart was beating fast in your chest as you felt your face growing hot. You were young, but you werenโt clueless. There was only one place this conversation was going. You needed a way out. โYou have got to be joking.โ
โYou will marry my son, Naoya,โ Naobito declared sternly, finally getting to the point your father couldnโt seem to make. The conviction in his tone meant that there would be no debate.
โDad, this isnโt seriousโฆ is it?โ You asked as hot tears poured down your cheeks.
โIt has been decided,โ your dad said coldly. โOur family is making an allegiance with the Zenโin family.โ
This couldnโt be real. You must have been having a bad dream. Your heartbeat was pounding in your ears. Your father quickly became a man you didnโt recognize. How could this be the same man who helped you learn how to walk? How could this be the same man who comforted you the first time you saw a cursed spirit? How could this be the same man who always told you that you could be anything you dreamed of?
Now the man you looked up to the most was nothing but a coward and a sellout.
Now he was the man who was going to sell you off so he could preserve a legacy that was never his in the first place.
โThe attitude could use a little work, but this will do,โ Naoya said smugly. His gaze was nearly devouring you. He stepped toward you grabbing your chin to examine your tear stained face. โTears will do you no good. You should consider yourself lucky. The only reason I agreed to do this was because I think youโre easy on the eyes.โ
You quickly slapped away Naoyaโs hand as you stumbled back onto the floor. The three men surrounding you stared at you. Your father had the most pathetic look on his face. He knew that this was wrong. He knew he should put an end to itโฆ but the offer was too enticing. Notoriety. Money. He was tired of being a nobody. He knew you were strong.
She can endure this, your father thought. She can learn to love Naoya.
Your father said nothing. His end of the deal was fulfilled. Handing you over to be Naoyaโs bride meant that he could be someone people respected.
โHow insolent you are. Stand up. No wife of my sonโs will act like a little brat,โ Naobito ordered while your father just stood there helplessly. Your fate was no longer in his hands, let alone your own. โYou will come to learn how Zenโin women are meant to behave. This is for the best.โ
For the bestโฆ how ironic.
โA date will be set soon. Preparations will be made,โ Naobito said with certainty. His main goal was keeping the Zenโin bloodline strong. You would be key in this feat.
You stood up on shaking legs. The room felt like it was spinning. Your world felt like it was ending. In a way, it was.
You were supposed to protect people. You were supposed to be strong.
Nowโฆ you were just supposed to be Naoyaโs little wife. A man you didnโt even know. Bound to him in a union that you had no say in.

โHeeey,โ you heard a voice from behind you say as a very familiar pair of arms snaked around your waist. Satoruโs demanding presence loomed over you.
You had just finished pulling up your sparkling opera gloves that perfectly matched the string of pearls around your neckโa gift from Satoru. In fact, you were dressed head to toe in items purchased by him. Nothing but the most expensive and luxurious things for his sweets, as he would say.
Your hands pressed firmly against the table you were standing in front of as Satoru pressed his body firmly against your backside. You were locked in place with nowhere to go.
โCan I have a kiss of encouragement before we go out?โ he asked, his voice a low and seductive purr as his large hands splayed across your stomach. His fingers glided across the silk fabric of your long, black evening gown.
With a sigh and a shake of your head, your head turned up to look at Satoru. His glowing blue eyes were fixed on you almost like you were prey. Like he wanted to eat you up. โSatoruโฆ we already discussed this,โ you explained in protest.
You knew it would be more than a kiss. It was always more than a kiss. As it stood, you were running late for your event already. A formal event where the highest and most important members of Jujustu Society would be in there. The man behind you was supposed to be the most important and powerful person in attendance.
In an act of defiance, Satoru turned you around while crouching down to meet your face. His glossy lips turned into a frown as he pouted at you. โPlease?โ he implored you as he gave you puppy dog eyes. โYou know crowds make me nervous.โ
The way he was eyeing you was making it hard for you to say no, but you shook your head in an attempt to stand your ground. Satoru loved being the center of attention, so you knew this was all an act to get what he wanted.
โYou donโt love me anymore?โ he whined as his head nestled in towards your breasts.
That was it. You knew you couldnโt deny him anymore. Your hand moved up to pinch his cheek as you offered him a gentle grin. โHaaโฆ okay. Just a kiss and nothing more,โ you asserted.
The smirk that curled on the corners of Satoruโs lips made your stomach jump. He looked smug, knowing he had successfully won you over and now there was no turning back.
Satoru took no time at all to claim your lips. His hot mouth dominating your lips as he kissed you like a man starved. Youโd think he hadnโt seen you in weeks the way he was kissing you.
You attempted to pull back, but Satoruโs hands landed on either side of your face to hold it in place. He wasnโt letting you get away now that he had you exactly where he wanted you.
โHmmmmโฆ not so fast, sweets,โ Satoru hummed against your lips. โYou love me right?โ he inquired, his voice husky and low. The bright blue eyes that were staring at you were heavy lidded as he studied your features. He was pressing his body impossibly close to yours now. Close enough for you to feel the bulge that was growing in his pants.
โYou already know the answer to that, Satoru,โ you said as your chest was rising and falling with heavy breaths. โOf course I do.โ
โOf course you do,โ he repeated, his voice just barely above a whisper. His thumb brushed your bottom lip. He applied slight pressure, making your mouth hang open. His eyes traveled down the expanse of your body.
โWhat are you-โ you began to ask as Satoru reached down to grab your dress, bunching it up until your panties were exposed.
โHold it like this for me,โ Satoru demanded as he stuffed the fabric into your hand. He pulled your lace panties to the side and exposed your pussy. โThis too, sweets,โ he said as he hooked your fingers into the hem of your underwear. โYes. Good girl,โ he said, his voice dripping with praise.
You watched as Satoru undid his pants and pulled his hard cock out of his boxers. You half expected for him to stuff you full with his cock, but his next move shocked you. He wrapped his long fingers around the girth of his cock and began to stroke it as he gazed into your eyes.
โHaaโฆโ Satoru moaned as he worked his painfully hard cock with his hand. You watched, dazed by this brazen act. Not only were you probably not going to the party now, he was selfishly chasing his own pleasure. โSo prettyโฆ would be such a shame if I ruined this expensive dress I bought for you. Iโll try to keep it clean,โ he breathed into your ear. โHeh, no promises though.โ
Satoruโs strokes grew faster as his breathing grew heavier. You knew all the telltale signs that he was about to cum. You couldnโt believe you were letting him do this to you, but the act was turning you on. Your cunt was glistening and aching with need.
โFuck,โ Satoru groaned before sucking your bottom lip into his mouth. His teeth grazed the sensitive skin. โGonna cum all over this perfect pussy, okay?โ
You nodded, looking down to the space between the two of you. Satoruโs pants and heavy breathing turned into desperate moans as his hips bucked in time with his hand as he neared his climax. A loud gasp left your mouth as you felt thick, hot ropes of cum paint the space just above your pussy. You shuddered at the feeling of it dripping down to your folds.
Coming down from his orgasm, Satoru looked down at your pussy with a shit-eating grin. The sight of you covered in his cum spurred him on even more. โIโm a man of my word, sweets. Didnโt get a drop on your dress,โ he hummed sarcastically as his hand left his cock. Two fingers slid through his seed as he spread some of it down to rub it on your clit.
โAah!โ you exclaimed as you tried to swat his hand away. He already made a big enough mess as it stood and now he wanted to play around with it?
โWhat, donโt like it?โ he asked with that same pout from earlier. โHow about this, sweetsโฆ Iโll clean you up because you were such a good girl for me.โ
You watched in complete and utter shock as Satoru lifted his fingers to his mouth, sucking his own cum off his fingers. Satoru always found new and exciting ways to surprise you, but this took the cake.
โKeep holding this up for me,โ Satoru said as he sank to his knees. His face was just inches away from your sloppy cunt. โI canโt believe you let me make such a mess on this pretty pussy, sweets.โ
You felt your face get hot as his words hit your ears. You and Satoru had experimented a lot, but this was an entirely new and unexpected experience.
Satoru leaned in and began lapping up the cum on your skin. The flavor of his cum was something entirely new to himโsweet with a hint of bitterness. He made sure to catch the drops that slipped between your folds. โSuch a messy girl,โ he mused before his tongue finally made its way to your clit. He savored the sweet sounds that spilled from your lips as your hips rolled against his mouth. He especially loved the taste of your pussy. The sweetness of your juices coating his tongue.
He steadied himself with a hand on one of your thighs as his other moved in between them. Two of his digits teased your entrance as his tongue worked your clit effortlessly. If you let him, he would spend all day with his face buried in your cunt. His fingers slid into your tight heat. He groaned against your clit as he felt your spongy walls sucking him in. Oh how he wished it were his cock.
As Satoruโs tongue circled around, his fingers pumped in and out of your pussy. He loved the whines and moans he was drawing out of you. He would take this over any dumb, boring party any day.
All he wanted was you. All he needed was you.
โGonna cum for me, sweets?โ Satoru asked after his mouth left your pussy with a wet sound. His fingers were curling deep inside of you now, rubbing against your sweet spot.
โUh huh,โ you whined as you bucked your pussy against his hand. Those damned six eyes of his had shown him every single part of your anatomy that made you fall apart. Your hand reached out to his head, grabbing a handful of his snow white hair. You tugged at his hair to pull his face back to your pussy.
โSo impatient,โ he tsked before his tongue delved back in between your folds to return to your clit. โAlways so needy,โ he mumbled against your sensitive flesh.
โS-Shut up,โ you protested, your voice high pitched as you felt yourself reaching your own climax. Your legs began to twitch as your head lolled back. A loud cry left your lips as your orgasm crashed over you in waves. The hand that was fixed in Satoruโs hair pulled impossibly tight on the strands.
Satoru made quick work of eating you out through your climax, even to the point of over stimulation. He loved the way your body trembled from just his mouth alone. He cleaned up your sensitive pussy with his greedy mouth before pulling away, wiping his dripping chin off with the back of his hand. โGuess weโre gonna miss that party, huh?โ he remarked with a smirk as he looked up at you.
The rest of the night had been spent in bed. The two of you were tangled up throughout the night in more positions than you could count. Your naked bodies clicking together like a puzzle. Satoru had you bent every which way with his cock stuffed deep inside of you, pumping you full of cum until you just couldnโt take it anymore.
After everything was said and done, you were fucked out. Satoru lovingly wrapped you up in a blanket before making you a warm cup of your favorite cup of tea.
He had a smug and satisfied look on his face as he handed you the steaming cup. He got what he wanted. He didnโt have to be bored all night and have to rub shoulders with โeliteโ members of Jujutsu Society. He already knew he was above all of them. He didnโt have to impress anyone, save for you.
Satoru snuggled up to you as you took a sip of your tea. He was so impossibly in love with you. Sometimes he wished he could keep you all to himself. He wanted to feel bad for making you miss the party, but he just couldnโt help himself. He would say something about how irresistible you are and you would just roll your eyes.
Putting a wide grin on his face, Satoru propped his head up with both hands before saying, โTomorrow! Letโs go out tomorrow.โ
You gave him a little bit of a playful side eye before responding, โYou said that last time.โ You could play grumpy and annoyed all you wanted, but both of you loved this time together. Tucked away from the rest of the worldโs prying eyes.
Satoru blinked before pouting at you like you didnโt believe him. โWe can go anywhere you want! Pinky promise?โ he offered as he stuck his pinky out to you.
โPinky promise,โ you repeated as your hand left the mug and linked your pinky with his own. You were interested to see if he kept his promise or found a way to keep you at home in his bed.

You woke up to a dry ache in your throat, the kind of ache where it felt like you swallowed a pile of dust. The apartment was silent except for the silent hum of the refrigerator and distant sounds of the city pressing against the window. You pushed back your blanket, your bare feet touching the cold wooden floors as you mad your way towards the kitchen.
Halfway to the kitchen, you stopped. There was a sound. It was barely audible at first, almost like a broken kind of breathing. You felt the hairs raise on the back of your neck as your hunter reflexes kicked in. Normally, the apartment was quiet at night. You and Aki would go your separate ways after dinner and that was that. Something was off, and it was coming from Akiโs room.
As you stepped towards the sliding door to his bedroom, the sound was unmistakable now. It was quiet, muffled crying.
Aki was crying.
You stood there frozen as you listened for a moment. In the time you had known Aki, you had never seen him shed a tear. Hearing him like this felt wrong. It was like stepping into a bad dream.
Hesitating, you stepped closer towards the door, trying your best not to make a sound. You knew you shouldnโt have been doing this. Aki was having a private and vulnerable moment and you were just there listening. You thought about knocking. You thought about asking if he was okay, but the words were stuck in your throat. Maybe he didnโt want to be heard, you thought.
In his room, Aki was sitting on the edge of his bed. His head was in his hands as he quietly wept into them. Flashes of the day that changed his life played over and over again in his mind. The smile on his younger brotherโs face as he stepped inside his childhood home before the worst happened. Before he watched his home be reduced into ashes by the Gun Devil. Akiโs throat felt like it was closing up as he let out a quiet, muffled sob.
This was the only time he could mourn his younger brother and his parents. In the late hours of the night when no one was there to see or hear him.
You took a step back, beginning your retreat back to your room. The ball of your foot met the floor and a creak filled the otherwise silent room.
โShit,โ you whispered to yourself as you heard Aki stirring in his room. He was most likely coming to investigate the noise in his quiet home.
Before you had time to make it back to your room, Aki stepped out into the dark room that was illuminated by a small light left on in the kitchen. His gaze met your silhouette that was outlined by the light behind you.
In the dim light, you could see his eyes were red from crying. It made your heart ache. But that feeling was soon cast aside as the two of you stood there awkwardly just a few feet from each other.
โWhat are you doing?โ he asked, breaking the silence between the two of you.
โI woke up to get water. But then I heard youโฆโ you began as you tried to explain yourself. Your face began to feel hot as your stomach twisted into knots. Embarrassment wasnโt even the word for what you were feeling at that moment.
Aki let out a sigh and his head dipped down, his long black hair covering his face. โI didnโt want you to hear that,โ he said regretfully. He could never admit it out loud, but he didnโt want you to think he was weak.
You didnโt know how to respond. You could tell Aki was feeling just as embarrassed as you were and you didnโt want to make it worse. You had your own moments where you shed tears for your own fallen friends and family. You knew exactly what that feeling was like. Feeling so helplessโฆ like you failed the people you were supposed to love.
Instead of offering any words of comfort, you stepped towards Aki. As the distance between you closed, you reached your arms out to wrap around his torso. Your head rested against his chest. Words didnโt need to be exchanged. The two of you had an understanding that went deeper than either of you could comprehend.
Aki stood there for a moment, not knowing what to do. He wasnโt used to this. He couldnโt ever recall such a tender moment. At first, he didnโt know where his arms should go, but they in turn wrapped around your shoulders holding you close. His head rested on top of yours as the two of you stood there in silent understanding.
You could hear Akiโs heart pounding in his chest. Similar to him, you couldnโt recall a moment so vulnerable and close. Not since you were a young child. Butterflies filled your stomach as your previously realized feelings were threatening to bubble to the surface.
Noโฆ itโs not the time, you thought to yourself. But would there ever be a right time?
The two of you stood there for a few moments holding one another. Akiโs grasp on you tightened briefly before slowly letting you go.
โWant to step outside for a smoke?โ he asked. His nerves were frayed. As much as your embrace soothed him, he still needed nicotine to calm his mind.
โSure,โ you whispered as you watched him descend into his room for his cigarettes and lighter.
The two of you stepped out onto the balcony as you had done countless times before. The sky was dark. The street lights obstructed any stars in the sky. The usual sounds of the city faded as the night carried on.
Aki offered you a cigarette, which you accepted gratefully. You held it between your pursed lips as he held up his lighter to light it for you. Your heat raced in your chest as you watched how he intently studied your face. His eyes lingered in your lips for a moment longer after your cigarette was lit. There was something unreadable in his eyes that stole the breath from your lungs.
As Aki lit his own cigarette, he leaned against the concrete railing. His eyes drifted from you to the night sky. His mind and his heart felt so clouded. He knew there was a way he should have felt. When he looked at you, his world didnโt feel so dark. You were the only person he knew he could depend on. He could just never find it in him to tell you. It felt wrong. But he couldnโt help it.
The silence hung heavy in the air like the smoke between you.
โIs Ms. Makima likeโฆ single? Or?โ Denji asked as he walked behind Aki on the crowded street. The young boy who had just seemingly been rescued from a life of poverty and malnourishment had his eyes set on one thing. Winning Makimaโs favor. He didnโt think, let alone know that might be something he shouldnโt ask. He assumed since Aki had been working with her for a while, he would have some good insights. โDo you know? Hey!โ
โCome with me,โ Aki said plainly as he led Denji to a dead end alleyway. He couldnโt believe that someone could be so crass. Especially when it came to Ms. Makima. The thought of anyone disrespecting herโฆ Well, Aki wasnโt going to put up with that at all.
Once they were in the alleyway, away from civilians, Aki landed a punch on Denjiโs face. The force of the blow sending Denji tumbling to the ground. Blood spewed from Denjiโs nose on impact. The boy sat up, wiping his face as he groaned before looking back up at Aki.
Denji didnโt even have a moment to react before Aki pulled him back up by the head, his knee coming up to knock Denji in the stomach. The air was quickly knocked from his lungs. All the while, Denji couldnโt make sense of what was going on. He didnโt have time to fight back before Aki pushed him back and kicked him in the stomach, his body flying back before landing in a pile of trash.
Aki, unfazed by the situation, pulled his cigarettes out of his pocket. He tapped the pack until one came out.
โYeahโฆ you really should quit,โ Aki said coldly before taking a drag off of his freshly lit cigarette. โShow up tomorrow and Iโll kick your ass again.โ
โWhatโs your problem?โ Denji groaned as his beaten body shifted in the pile of trash Aki tossed him into.
โJust that my kindness seems a bit wasted on you. People who donโt knuckle down and wise up to this job die. Every associate Iโve met that got into devil hunting for the paycheck is pushing up daisies nowโฆ And thatโs not an exaggeration,โ Aki explained as he looked down at Denji in his pitiful state. โThe only ones who survive are those with strong convictions at their core.โ
Aki paused for a second, feeling his blood boil. He did this to defend Makimaโs honor. She gave him everything. She gave him the job that would get him to the Gun Devil. He owed her everything. โLet me guess,โ Aki began. โMakimaโs the sole reason youโre here. Am I right?โ
โBingooo,โ Denji groaned.
โThen Iโm glad I beat the crap out of you,โ Aki said with disdain as he flicked his lit cigarette onto Denji. He spit on Denji, putting the cigarette out. โIโll do you a favor and tell her you ran awayโฆ Terrified by the devils that would have ended you.โ
Aki turned around and began walking away. He didnโt feel bad about what he did to Denji. Honestly, in his line of work, he had done worse to people for less. He lit a new cigarette, paying no mind to the boy behind him that he had just beaten. There was no way he was getting up any time soon.
Thatโs what he thought anyway.
In an instant, Denji was back up on his feet, sprinting towards Aki. Aki hadnโt realized he let his guard down so low. Before he knew it, a jolt of searing pain flared up his body as Denji kicked him in the crotch. His cigarette flew out of his mouth as he fell to the ground.
โI thought you were full of it when you said you wasted kindness on me!โ Denji said as he wiped the drying blood from his face. โBut you are nice!โ he shouted as he rushed forward to kick Aki again. โโCause when I-! Fight a dude-! Itโs nuts-! Or-! Nothing-!โ he screamed, his words punctuated with each kick he delivered to Aki.
It was your day off. You were tending to some of the household chores that didnโt get done every day. Deep cleaning the fridge, the bathroom. Sweeping the balcony and making sure all trash was taken out. It was a peaceful day. You didnโt get much of those anymore. It would have been nice to spend it with Aki. He had been on your mind the entire day. Flashes of the night before playing in your head over and over again. It was almost like you could still feel his arms around you.
You were doing dishes from the dinner you had just prepared when you heard keys jingling from just outside the door. Your heart leaped in your chest with excitement when you realized that Aki was finally home. You knew he would be happy to just relax after a long day of work.
โHey!โ you called cheerfully as you stepped from the kitchen to the hall to greet Aki. You were wearing rubber gloves and Akiโs cooking apron. โDinner will be done soon. I madeโฆโ you began before really getting a lot at Aki. He looked exhausted and honestly pretty pissed off. โWhat happened?โ you questioned. You knew the job the two of you had was less than easy, but you had never seen him coming home like this.
You soon found out the source of Akiโs frustration when someone followed him inside. A blond haired man who had no problem making his presence known.
โSo this is your place?โ Denji asked as he pushed in past Aki, taking in the environment that was now his home, too. At first, Denji paid you no mind.
โAkiโฆ who is that?โ you whispered to him as you watched your quiet home quickly become a place of chaos.
Before Aki could respond, Denjiโs sights landed on you. โWoah! Whoโs this babe, Hayakawa?โ
Akiโs brows furrowed in anger. His fists clenched at his sides, but to avoid causing a scene and to avoid Denji kicking him in the nuts again, he didnโt act on his frustrations. โHer name is Y/N. Donโt call her babe.โ
Denji could sense that Aki was protective over you. He might not have been smart in the traditional sense, but he wasnโt entirely daft. โOhhhhโฆ so sheโs your girlfriend? Sorry about that, man.โ
You and Aki exchanged an awkward glance. Your face and ears got hot as you noticed a faint blush cross Akiโs cheeks. โWeโre just roommates and coworkers,โ you explained. Your heart hurt saying that, even though that was the entire truth.
โYeah, okay,โ Denji responded plainly, stretching his arms behind him. โSomething smells great! Whatโs for dinner?โ
Denji descended in the kitchen to investigate the first homemade meal he would have since he couldnโt even remember when. The spread you had prepared for you and Aki made his mouth water. Denji wasnโt paying you any mind now as his focus was entirely on the food in front of him.
Aki sighed as he looked from the kitchen back over to you. โI should have called to give you some warning,โ he said regretfully.
โWho is he?โ you inquired quietly. โIs he just staying for the night?โ
โHis name is Denji. And Iโm afraid not. Ms. Makima wants me to keep an eye on him. Heโs staying with us for the time being.โ As much as he hated the idea, he enjoyed being on Makimaโs good side more.
For a moment, you felt bad. Akiโs quiet and solitary life had been upended by you, and now adding Denji to the mix, you felt guilty. Though, neither of you could argue with Makimaโs orders. You also had Makima to thank for saving your life. A lonely orphan with no real place to call home. Everything you had was thanks to her.
โWeโll get through it together,โ Aki promised you. His voice broke the silence and pulled you out of your own head. Those words alone soothed your anxious mind.
โWe gonna eat or what?โ Denji called out as he looked out into the hallway at the two of you. โIโm starving!โ
โIโll go set the table,โ Aki said as he took off his work jacket before grabbing plates and utensils.
As uncertain as life felt right in that moment, you knew it would all be okay with Aki by your side. Together, just like he said.
