My lord! How do you stay motivated to do all the things you do? I’m looking at a massive stack of papers that I need to fill out and I’m already loosing my will to live.
The only way out is through, citizen. The other option is surrender, and that is no option at all.

What are our odds?
Based on these variables:
-There are roughly 1 million loyal Astartes, somewhere between tens of billions and hundreds of billions of loyal troops, a few thousand Vigil Indomitus, as well as hundreds of millions to a few billions Sisters of Battle.
-About 95% of the tens on billions to trillions of Necrons are in stasis, bringing that down to hundreds of millions to tens of billions active Necrons.
-A rather daunting number of Orks.
-A few trillion Eldar including the Dark Eldar, Exodites, Harlequins, and Craft World Eldar.
-A basically limitless number of Tyranids.
-Hundreds of thousands to a few million Chaos Marines.
-The forces of the Chaos Gods.
With those variables in mind, there is also the factor of all these forces hating each other and trying to kill the other. The Eldar are dwindling, the Orks also fight amongst themselves, as do the Chaos Gods. If the enemy forces were all allied with one another, we would stand no chance, my Lord.
However, considering they are all at war with eachother and in some cases with themselves, I do see about a 65% chance of total dominance, though it will be bloody and our forces will be severely thinned out. Our odds of success would increase if Jaghatai Khan, Leman Russ, and Vulkan were returned, as they would likely bring a new age to their chapters. Their return would bring the chances up to about 70-75%, though our forces would still be very much depleted.
That being said, if there were a way to fully heal The Emperor, I truly believe our chances would be brought to 95-100% success. His return would mean that it is possible to create new gene seeds as well as his indomitable strength, wisdom, and psychic abilities.
My calculations are not perfect, my Lord, but I do truly believe that this is not a hopeless battle.

Sire if you could alter the past and choose one brother of yours to grow up with you as you did in macragge who would you like that individual to be and who do you think would benefit the most from such an upbringing?
I have been pondering this for days. My personal preference of a brother to grow up with varies depending on many things. Perhaps Ferrus, perhaps Sanguinius, or Dorn, or the Khan.
However, I think perhaps the heresy could have been prevented if it had been Lorgar.
Also, I believe Angron would have had the greatest personal benefit of any of my brothers had he grown up on Macragge with me. For obvious reasons.
