Feedback!

I was given feedback from my mini exhibition earlier today from tutor and my fellow peers and it was very critical in a way but understanding from their point a view how confusing and misplaced my project were, but the project was a major importance and a overall goof project with leads to a broader section but struggled to reach out to wider the audience. 

I took on board and will make these amendments in future projects in the third year which we all start in September hopefully!

Information Pack

I have completed my information pack and completed my booklet, I have ordered my t-shirt but I am still waiting for this, it was due in today but it hasn't come! But I have got the item coming just need it in the pack ready for the mini exhibition and for hand in!

Evaluation - Specialist Project

This module was known as ‘Design Process II’ earlier on this academic year, but now this is a follow up with a name of ‘specialist project’, this module was about designing your own brief and making up what you want to do as your project, so my own project was to create a LGBT+ support in education into the curriculum with social/support groups were students can create and lead whenever they want. This project was a struggle especially switching from the research to designing the brief. Firstly, I researched into more topics surrounding the LGBT+ Community and gathering leaflets and so on for my research folder. I created a blog on Tumblr were all the information and development of my designs. Then I created a website on Wix for my project whilst creating coming out videos on there as well, which during the exhibition this will be played whilst a showcase of the information pack with myself explaining what happens during it. I created along the way a booklet for how to set up the group, but I struggled as the design was not good at all, the background was pink because that was my website was mainly pink with white so I put that onto my booklet but changed the colours to white and sharpen my logo as well to stand the logo out more and make it more of a hierarchy, which that I struggled what should be on the front, big and bold to stand out which I spoke to tutors and they offered their opinion that the tittle of the booklet should be then I followed their opinion and made amendments.  Then I created a stationery set with badges, t-shirt and name tags alongside the booklet to add more to my project and create a mini platform for people wanting to get this into the schools to help students to get better learning environment. I designed T-shirts and a net for a bag on Adobe Illustrator to draw a vector for both, so a quick design, but I did think of this more and created multiple designs before I chose the one what I was going to use! I did struggle first on what I was going to do for a long period of time but later on the project I did get what I was going to do and I have created multiple promotion items such as stationery set, website and so on which I am overall happy of this project and the outcome of the designs should have took more time on my own brief and creating more items such as adverts and posters along the way, but on my brief just stated a support/social group to come into the education so I think the main item is an information pack.

Schools - Contacts!

Contacting more schools across the boroughs, these are ‘special schools’ were students/pupils who have different abilities and want somewhere were they find a secure place to learn, but I target these schools first, but I will contact other schools to get further info!

Stationery Set For My Project

This is my design for my stationery set were this will be part of the information pack with my information booklet which I need to print them all and put them together in the pack!

The pink colour is used to match my website which I have done for this project!

Eurovision

Here is more pictures from the Eurovision song contest website on the shop site, were you can find merchandise and I love the rainbow t-shirts, jumpers and so on!  This is a great idea were I can put into my thoughts of creating this for my project!

EUROVISION

It is Eurovision day today and I have been watching it for the tenth time! I have some pictures from the Eurovision Fan House site, were you can merchandise for Eurovision, and it shows about diversity and were equality is in involved to.

these are T-shirts, bags and so on were I found on that site, but I am thinking of apply my LGBT+ logo and quotes onto the merchandise where it will be my site for the exhibition and also props onto plymths and on walls to show the diversity and equality though the lgbt+ Community!

Quotes

I am thinking of taking some quotes already used and twist them in a way and put them in the information pack and alongside the t-shirt designs and badges, I have created some badges already for Rainbow Alliance which is a college/University LGBT+ group, just need to get them printed and create more as well!

T-Shirt designs for my project which I have been doing within that last 5 months or so, now coming to a conclusion! I have other items to create as well, but need to do more work and other t-shirt designs as well!

Next Steps

I need to create multiple promotion items such as; T-Shirt, keyring, badges, lanyards and so on alongside with my website created and information pack/leaflet! I have started with the information pack but need to do it again, also finish touches with the website, then work on with t-shirt, badges and other items later on.

Videos

The videos which I made is finally made onto the website, thanks  to Vimeo, but can’t add anymore onto Vimeo, I have struggled and still am regarding my specialist project! I am starting to re think my idea/s and push on, we as a group have a extra week thankfully but on Monday I will need help with the tutor and other people around the town to sort out a booklet!
