WALLY WILL RETURN IN YOUNG JUSTICE SEASON 3
OK, GUYS BUCKLE UP BECAUSE THIS IS GOING TO BE A LONG RIDE.
THERE WILL BE SPOILERS IN THIS POST, OBVIOUSLY.
I, JustASmallPigeon have figured out a solid theory about how Wally West will return in the second half of Young Justice season 3. First of all, let’s start with the episode “Nightmare Monkeys”. In this episode, Garf puts on the Goode Goggles and they malfunction, transporting him into some sort of dream world where he is on the actual spaceship from the TV show he stars in. Piloting the ship is none other than Wally West himself. While this is just a figment of Garf’s imagination and not the real Wally West, it proves that Wally’s voice actor, Jason Spizak, is still around and still working for the creators of Young Justice. Now that we have that part of the theory covered, let’s move on to the episode where we meet Victor Stone (who later becomes Cyborg).
The character Victor Stone is introduced in episode 10 as a rising football star at his high school. A very interesting thing happens in the locker room right before his team’s big game. Vic and a few other team members are talking about if they were superheroes, which female member of the Justice League they would ask out. Another boy walks in and says he would ask out Zatanna if he were a superhero. The others laugh and say, “Cisco? A superhero?!”. What’s interesting is that Cisco is the civilian name for the hero named Vibe. His full name is Cisco Ramon and he is also in the CW’s The Flash and in various comic books. What’s even more interesting is what his powers are. According to Wikipedia, his powers “… revolve around vibration, frequency, and resonance; Vibe’s powers enabled him to create shock waves of considerable strength that could shatter concrete or steel… Vibe’s reintroduction in 2013 redefined his powers as having to do with inter-dimensional physics. Vibe’s waves have the power to disrupt the Speed Force, making him one of the few characters who pose a serious threat to the Flash.” It’s obvious that Wally was trapped in the Speed Force at the end of season 2. In fact, he’s gone in and out of the Speed Force in various comic books and CW’s The Flash as well. Another thing to point out is that the part about the Speed Force was added in 2013 and you know what ended in 2013? That’s right, season 2 of Young Justice.
The last thing I’m going to talk about in this ridiculously long text post are some episode names from the second half of season 2 that caught my eye earlier today. They are episodes 23 and 24, “Terminus” and “Into the Breach” The dictionary definition of Terminus is a final point in space or time; an end or extremity. Terminus was also the Roman god of boundaries. I promise this will all make sense in a bit. When I think of the term into the breach, I think about someone/something crossing over into something else. Which is funny because of the whole boundary thing with Terminus. So my theory is that in episode 23, they will discover the Speed Force and the ability to bring Wally back and then actually bring him back in the next episode with the help of Cisco, aka Vibe.
