its probably a normal sign for the economy that all of my adulthood fantasies are like "imagine having your own kitchen living room and bathroom to decorate" "what if i could get on a train" "maybe one day i could purchase a sturdy pair of shoes" "i should save and invest in a single bicycle"
the thing about phone in bed is that it's so awesome. almost makes you feel like betraying & destroying yourself for nothing isn't all so bad
Finn and fern cakes with my gf !!!
[looking at people younger than me] you have your whole life ahead of you [looking at people older than me] you have your whole life ahead of you [looking at myself] its over

A+ weird little dude, but I'm equally fascinated by the choice of music.

While this is true, I keep thinking of a comment that an Australian conservative pundit made a few years ago during an election where the conservative party was losing badly. I can't quote the exact phrasing, but it was basically ‘people don't become conservative when they have nothing to conserve’.
The system has failed the majority of millennials in a way that it didn't fail the majority of those three previous generations. Even accounting for the fact that some of that conservative shift is that poorer (and thus left leaning folk) are more likely to die young, thus meaning the proportion of survivors that are conservative increases, there is no motivation for millennials to embrace conservatism.
We don't have houses. We live in a labour market that's far more unstable than it was for our parents, and are less likely to have been able to sit comfortably in one job our whole lives.
Most of us have nothing to conserve.
we all have at least one friend who's always like I want a relationship <3 but they're living in some kind of shed on a mountain #ComeDownFromYourShed
the things you must do to find a relationship = know more than 3 people. and come down from your shed #YourShed #3People
Like in the USA, queer british history is tied to black british history. Unlike the USA we never hear their names
It's black history month in the UK, but no child I know of has been taught about black queer history.
So join me in learning about it.
Learn about Pearl Alcock who set up the only gay bar in brixton at the time as a refuge for black gay men.
Ted Brown one of the organisers of the first UK pride rallys in 1974
Justin Fashanu the first openly gay footballer in 1990.
The fact that the UK GLF was inspired by the black panthers revolutionary convention in 1970.
Or Ivor Cummings "the gay father of the windrush generation"
When we understand that our history is diverse, it changes our outlook. I hope that this Black History Month, we all take the time to uncove
I'm sure there are 100s more names to go on this list, but I don't know them. I can't find them. Kinda the point if racism and homophobia tho isn't it? To hide the culture and history of black queer people, to make black queer people feel like their alone, feel like there was noone who came before to look up to and be seen by.
Over in America February is black history month, but here in the UK February is queer history month. So what better time to highlight this article about the black queers we never learn about
This is the world capitalists want to return to.
