Miri had chosen the song, because of course she had. And yet, she was still struggling to beat up Rei when it came to getting a higher score than him. Not surprising, as Kazuki had never met anyone as invincible in video games as that man.
To be honest, he would have never guessed Rei could be into dancing games, but at some point since their now daughter had entered their lives, those games had become a way to mix both bonding and workout time.
And boy, was Kazuki enjoying it.
He liked actually playing too, of course, but he usually rather watch. Because then he was free to pay attention to the music, Miri’s cute giggles… and yes, Rei’s moves.
“I know you’re staring.” Speaking about which, he had been caught once again. Not surprising either, since he hadn’t even tried to hide it. Not really.
Rei wasn’t the first man he had laid his eyes on, nor the first person by that matter, and having been living together for quite some time did wonders in guaranteeing Kazuki was sure about his feelings at that point.
So maybe, just maybe, it was simply a matter of letting things flow.
“Is that a problem, huh? Am I being distracting?” Flow with a bit of help, obviously; despite knowing each other a lot, he didn’t count on him reading his mind.
“Nah, only a coward.” Rei answered, and those words almost drowned in Miri’s roaring laughter. “Y'know, for turning down our challenge.”
Alright, maybe he could put a pause to watching and join.
“Does that mean I may have this dance, honey?”
