Please read this because it is EXTREMELY important me (a transgender man) and to other trans individuals.

The US Government is currently trying to pass an incredibly dangerous national law for trans youth called HR 2616.

This bill would ban all Federally funded schools from teaching about gender identity or sexual orientation, prevent teachers from using the correct pronouns and names for trans students, remove books with any trans representation in them, and even go as far as to prevent teachers from acknowledging trans identity AT ALL.

Any school that does not follow this will lose all federal funding. This bill would also require teachers to forcibly out trans students to their families, which would be fatal to any trans student with a transphobic Family or just hateful family in general. Trans people are already a group that already has some of the highest rates of being victim to suicide, domestic violence, and sexual assault.

This bill actively makes teachers put those innocent children at such a big risk. This bill has rapidly passed the house this week with support from all 209 republicans, as well as 8 democrats. But, it's still being voted on in the senate, which means there is still time to help stop this.

To help stop this, you can visit 5calls.org (look up 2616 in the search bar), one of the most top issues filed Oppose Attacks on LGBTQ+ Students. Once you put in your general location, it will pull-up contact information for your senator, and give you a script for calling them.

If you are a minor and/or do not feel comfortable doing this, PLEASE repost this on here, or any other platform you are on/can find! This needs to be heard and fought against.

hi sorry this is kinda long but i rlly rlly need some advice, i cant tell if im bi or lesbian cause i know for sure i like girls but ive "liked" this one guy for like a year but i genuinely realised last night i lowkey highkey dont care abt him at all and and i dont even find him attractive, and i just like talking to my friends about him i think i just like the feeling of being a "normal" girl talking to her friends about her crush and i just find it fun to have a "crush" so i kinda just chose him to have a crush on (Mind you we've never even talked as well)... idk ive had really bad internalised homophobia for a really long time and only recently came to terms w being bi but i think im a lesbian but i just feel really really guilty about it like even just the thought of describing myself as a lesbian makes me feel SO guilty and idk why im not even religous or anything and im super scared of telling any of my friends even though literally all of them are queer and would be super supportive which is prolly why im talking to a rockin robin tumblr account rn. i tried the lesbian doc and that kinda made me feel worse cause its lowkey highkey accurate but i still just feel crazy guilt for some reason idk if you have any advice it would literally be a godsend and sorry again that this is so long

i haven't lived your life, but from what you've told me, i think you are a lesbian. and i might be wrong, but your crush sounds more like comphet than an actual crush.

the first thing i want to say is that it's okay. it's okay that you're scared, because being queer can be scary - especially if you've struggled with internalised homophobia. and it's okay that you're a lesbian. "normal" isn't always an option, no matter how much you want it to be. you're valid, and it's a great step that you've managed to find yourself.

the second thing is some advice. find someone to tell. it can be just one person. it can be online. it can be me if you really need it to be. just talk to one person about it. it doesn't even have to be about the struggles with your identity - you could talk to them about a girl you like/liked. but talking about it helps.

the last thing is that struggling isn't rare. not feeling able to accept yourself, not feeling able to tell someone you know in real life - that's all something a lot of us have struggled with, and being able to talk to someone about this is a good thing, even if it is a rockin-robin tumblr account. i'm proud of you for being able to talk about it.

my preferred pronouns depend on the day or situation... but i use she/her and he/him separately, or sometimes interchangeably. currently i think i'm going by he/him right now...

being queer is a very mixed experience for me. romantically, i absolutely love that i am able to feel attraction towards the beauty of every gender (albeit, sometimes at different times), however, for sexual and gender orientations, it can make me quite frustrated. because i'm afab, my gender dysphoria can be insane when i'd rather be male, which makes it irritatingly hard to be alone with my thoughts. secondly, the only reason i'm aegosexual (asexual) is due to the fact that i am not amab. when i'm feeling more male, i have a tendency to fantasize (not going to say it explicitly, but you know what i mean) and have it immediately tamped down because i don't have an amab body. it can get really fucking annoying.
