the yiga clan have notoriously murdered hundreds of people, are willing to lure innocent people into danger to get their way, know how to build zonai constructs without ultrahand, can mimic anyone including the princess herself, have learned how to mimic objects, have copied the exact elements of a legendary heirloom to the point that it operates in the exact same fashion, have taught themselves how to traverse the depths, and pinpointed ganondorfâs nearly exact location beneath hyrule castle, and yet theyâre still portrayed as comic relief, and this isnât a complaint thatâs the exact reason why I love them so fucking much
Its like if team rocket from pokemon built the atom bomd their great
Lol, at the US being determined to fight socialism but Americans flocking overseas for the socialism.
If people are making mods where link has a beard, we gotta make a mod where she has perky lil b-cup titties to counteract it
I DIDNT CHECK TH E SONG FULLY BEFORE POSTING THIS I FUCKED UP
congratulations!!! through doubt, you have unlocked backstory!!!
imagine, if you will, innocent, overly-trusting me listening to the mario galaxy ost and getting to the honeyhive galaxy theme, and thinking âwow! this song would go great with a pokemon walking gif!â
a brilliant idea! i immediately search up the song, and oh, how naive i was.
the third result is very official-looking!! a perfect candidate for a quick youtube ripâitâs just a meme, it wonât hurt anybody.
the first few second autoplay, and it seems legit! i quickly copy the url and download the file, then make the post
at this point, i havenât seen the gif along with the song iâd intended to put with it, so i have a listen!!
and let me tell you, the surprise i got,
this is now rowletâs theme
Myst be like that.
The full version shows they're playing Super Solvers Outnumbered, which makes sense as this is a The Learning Company catalog.
Also, fun fact: They remade this photo (the edit!) for 2016:
birds can be so disproportionate itâs actually so funny. one of lifeâs greatest delights

iâve been saying it for years:
government considers you able to work if you can give anything more than 0%
employers consider you unhireable if you give anything less than 100%
it occurred to me recently that this may be somewhat on purpose.
not saying there's a conspiracy or something, I'm just saying the people in power have a pretty strong economic motivation to interpret the stats this way.
I've given this advice before and I'll give it again:
if you are looking at the checkbox where you have to self-identify whether or not you have a disability,
only check it off if you are going to request a specific accommodation
only do so after you have already been offered the job.
Companies have absolutely no reason to know you are disabled unless you need to get accommodations. And if you do need accommodations, it is so much better to have an offer letter in hand when you request them - at that point, the company will need to actually officially rescind its offer if they want to try to discriminate, and any company that has even heard of the ADA knows they are on dodgy legal ground doing that given that they would have to do so in writing and provide some kind of valid reason for it, rather than just ghosting you like they would probably do if you had not already been offered the job. You have the legal right to wait until you are hired to disclose that you have a disability, and you should avail yourself of that right.
June 15 is the anniversary of both the Night Vale and Gravity Falls pilots, as well as Vanessa Doofenshmirtzâs birthday and âgive it up for day 15â day

And love händel reunion day and Linda and Lawrenceâs anniversary
Hey.
The Supreme Court just gutted unions' ability to strike entirely so that's where we're at now.
2/3rds of the âliberalâ justices on the court sided with conservatives against their voter base
For anyone wondering specifics, this is a great example of how these ghouls enact policy without enacting policy. What happened here was some Teamsters walked out of work while their trucks were still full of concrete. The employer sued them for the lost concrete, calling it "property damage". Then, the NLRB stepped in to say that a bullshit lawsuit like that was against federal labor law, and SCOTUS decided it's not.
Lost product and lost profit are the point of strikes. But now an employer can sue you for striking if you messed up their product. So yeah, the Supreme Court just gutted unions' ability to strike entirely, so that's where we're at now
too early to make assumptions, but the fact that disney is rewriting captain nemo's backstory in their upcoming series so he steals his submarine from the english instead of building it himself feels gross to me
yeah :(
sorry i'm not done thinking about this. even though, again, it's still way too early for me to have any opinions. but this little detail is enough to make me worried.
because the early chapters have multiple scenes where nemo talks at length about the engineering behind the nautilus and how everything works (down to the tiniest detail, because jules verne did his research and he wants you to know no matter how many pages it takes), and aronnax is marveling over how amazing the technology is and how the submarine is beyond anything he could have ever imagined.
if you take out the detail that nemo built the submarine himself (which the book blatantly explains how he did that) and replace it with this plotline,
that part of the book i described is now a scene where an indian man and a french man cream their pants over the engineering and scientific power of the british empire.
Yeah this fucking sucks.
My guy thinks that hostile takeover means if he gets fucking killed on the way to the bathroom the killer gets the company.
we figured out Roman concrete btw. This is the only thing on my mind
Oh? Do tell?
HOKAY. Doing this in laymanâs terms because I could not explain the chemistry in detail if I tried. Pls forgive if Iâm a little off in the explanation because idk chem lol
So weâve been trying to figure out why the fuck Roman concrete has held up so long, right? Our concrete lasts maybe like ten years before it looks like it took a wrecking ball to the face. And even then, our roads suck in general. Universally. Potholes. Everywhere.
Roman concrete has lasted two thousand years. Or more. Depends on where you go.
Now a bunch of scientists took chunks of concrete and threw a bunch of waves at it to figure out the composition, and turns out the concrete has lime in it. At first they were like âHuh, thatâs weird, why are these imperfections in this super durable long-lasting concrete?â
So anyways they dismissed the lime, and they also figured out that Roman concrete is suuuuuper strong in water. Like it gets stronger in water. Compare that to our shitty ass concrete. Our concrete suffers in water. Itâs shit. Our concrete is a middle-schoolerâs newspaper bridge project compared to the Bifrost that is Roman concrete.
Now, because chemical composition is fairly easy to figure out, they found volcanic ash. We donât have volcanic ash in our concrete (as far as I know), so idk I guess they thought that was the differential factor that made Roman concrete so strong. To my understanding, the Romans used hydraulic mortar rather than aerial mortar. Hydraulic mortar could harden with hydration and reactive silicates, whereas aerial mortar needed exposure to the air and was weaker.
Now, remember those imperfections I mentioned earlier? Lime is very, very weak. You ever felt limestone? Yeah. You get it. So itâs not hard to figure out why we thought these were actually imperfections in otherwise amazing, god-like, S-tier concrete. We used to think it was slaked lime, which is just lime paste.
One of the labs involved in the research developed a chemical mapping technique that allowed them to determine the exact makeup and type of lime present in the concrete. They figured out that this particular form of lime might have been quicklime, which is extremely brittle and very reactive. Quicklime forms at extremely high temperatures. We mix our concrete cold. Another common modern L.
In short, the Romans engineered preferential pathways for faults in the concrete to pass through the lime, which would react to hydration and recrystallize as more lime (calcium carbonate) and heal itself.
This is groundbreaking. Iâm so amazed. Hereâs the MIT publication, and hereâs the journal article.
Ah, I see, road fuseboxes.
Basically yeah! Especially if those fuseboxes are filled with quick hardening foam and look like they were left there by accident, except theyâre everywhere so they couldnât possibly be an accident.
Apparently theyâre already working on methods of adapting this kind of concrete for modern use. We could potentially fix the USâs crumbling infrastructure and simultaneously upgrade to vastly superior long-lasting materials.
@corrodedcoffindisbanded itâs 8:30am this made me laugh so hard I woke up
