Gotta ask ya- as a generational family member from Colorado (5 gens on my white father’s side to Colorado & Southern Wyoming) & my mother is actually indigenous to the Rockies (southern CO & Northern NM) do you practice “the old ways” of this region? I know historically we in the Rockies are very, very, very private (there’s a reason as you know you hear so little about shit out here). Some of the things you post though look so familiar to my familial practice so I ask.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!
Hey there!
Though I'm Albertan born and raised, I am a first generation Canadian. My family is originally from Poland and as many generations of my family tree as I've been able to uncover, we've always been from that region.
That said, I incorporate practices from both sides of my heritage. I incorporate many Polish folkloric beliefs and plractices into my own workings and I also draw from the plants and animals around me and the other witches I sometimes work with to build my practice. Of course, I always try to be very mindful of taking from closed practices so there is plenty of research and reading involved, but otherwise yes, I am very much fond of drawing from the old ways of this region to build up my practice. There is a lot of wisdom and power tied to places and spaces around us and honoring them is a wonderful way to help connect with those energies and strengthen our own power!

Here’s the explanation for fellow baby witches
In addition to wands of crystal, wands can be made of a branch from a tree. Each sign of the zodiac is associated with a particular tree, so if you’d like a want compatable with your sign, pick one of the above that lines up with your sign.
If you’re lucky enough to have these trees in your area, use a fallen branch, or ask the spirit of the tree for permission to cut a small branch (you’ll get an overwhelming positive feeling if it’s a yes).
In addition, you can use tree bark, leaves or fallen twigs/branches to decorate your altar. Each sign also corresponds with a planet, so if you have a planetary altar, you can use the correlating wood (I will post a list of these in the future and link it here).
There’s some variation online about which wood types line up with the signs, but the version I used comes from the Book of Spells by Soraya that my mum has had since forever ago for some reason. (I have a sneaking suspicion she used to dabble in witchcraft. Still not gonna tell her though). Since I used to flip through this book, I feel these correlations make sense to me.

It's Valid
⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅⋅•⋅ Here is a list to hopefully help you along the way. It's valid to: - Take breaks from your practice - Not practice every day - Not meditate every day - Not make offerings all the time - Have huge rituals for spells - Not know everything - Use substitutes - Not have every tool - Re-use spell jars - Buy your own deck - Not have a set path - Go a completely different path - Not have a label for your practice ⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅⋅•⋅
i want all parts of my life to feed my raw, untamed spirit. my sacred feminine energy deserves to be free and unleashed. i refuse to be anything but wild, authentic, and ethereal as i create my happiest life. so be it.
It's 2023 and I'm literally begging witches to stop spelling "magic" with a "k" because Aleister Crowley was a flaming pile of garbage.
Reminder that if you think people with autism and/or ADHD aren't capable of practicing witchcraft or magic of any kind, you're an ableist and can not so kindly fuck out of the magical community.
What is Shufflemancy?
Shufflemancy is a form of divination involving music!
Ask a question (similar to how you'd ask a tarot deck)
Shuffle your music library (or a specific playlist)
Whichever song comes up first is the "answer" to your question!
The fun part of shufflemancy is that it's all open to your own personal interpretation - unlike tarot, which can sometimes have a hard set of rules with card meanings, everything about shufflemancy is personalized - your music taste, your interpretation of the song, etc!
Another way to practice shufflemancy is by using a radio. Simply tune in to a random station, and see what song is playing! I love using this method on less-popular radio stations, because a majority of the time, it's a song I've never heard before!

Your deities love you.
Haven’t tidied their altars in forever? They understand.
Don’t have the motivation to give them offerings? They get it.
You haven’t left bed for a long time? They still care about you.
Aren’t devoting time to them lately? They don’t mind
Forgot an offering? That’s alright. They forgive you.
Fucked something up? They’re not going to ditch you for your mistakes.
Decide to take a break from deity work? Totally cool, they’ll still be here for you.
Your deities understand your struggles. Even your mental health related issues. They get it, and they love you regardless. Just do your best for them, and they’ll appreciate it.
