ONE. very sporadic/low activity. i work a lot + have other stuff going on. that said, because i love writing i make time where i can! if you'd prefer someone with higher activity it's no hard feelings.

TWO. i like to think i'm pretty lax on formatting. we don't always have to use gifs, and i won't format my text too much. as long as i can read and understand what you're writing we're good 2 go.

THREE. i'm a little bit selective. there will be nsfw on this blog at times, though not ONLY that. minors please go on somewhere. i'm comfortable with most topics within reason. i don't have any triggers and most likely nothing will be tagged.

FOUR. i will do my best to add adequate information for all my characters at some point; please don't assume things about them unless explicitly stated either ic or ooc. you can always ask questions if you're unsure.

FIVE. i write mostly/exclusively men, and i generally enjoy shipping. i also generally enjoy more in depth plots than just romance, so please keep that in mind.

her face screwed up a moment. " plenty of people. there's a list, actually, " the other parents were her main concern. if he told her boss at the studio, she was more likely to be understanding, but a bunch of random, mostly new parents?? and if they complained?? " promise me. please?? "

"yeah, and that also means i gotta tell people that i was here too, and i am not doing that." he was already polling at a loss for being one of the only men in the parent pool, let alone one that also frequented strip clubs. "alright, look, i promise. but... can i get my money back? cause now i think this is just gonna be weird for both of us."

"i'm afraid i'm not all that philosophical, mr. ochoa." ian can hardly imagine stepping foot in a classroom again. it's not like high school was any fun. pulling his glasses off, ian rubs at his eyes, "i'd considered it once—twice maybe—signing up for a few classes somewhere. never did follow through with it..."

"you go to class to learn, so i'll teach you." he's attempting (and failing, he fears) to not get too attached to the idea. but the back and forth that ian seems to be having with himself offers plenty of alternative entertainment. "no pressure."

stephanie barked out a laugh and walked out of her room to head back towards montclair. "oh, you're offended? you have something to offer in return? no way...what was that again?" she asked, tipping her head to the side for a moment. she folded her arms over her chest and bit into her lower lip. she knew he had plenty to offer in return, but she was gonna continue to be a little shit about this. "the last time i checked, it was my vibrator that had a lot to offer in return."

true, there were things he didn't like to discuss in public. the conversation she was attempting to bring up to begin with for one. but this, he could be comfortable with. "well, if you mean any of the ones that i might have bought you, i think that still counts."

stephanie heard him call out to her and she rolled her eyes before sticking her hand out of the doorway to flip him off, which meant in stephanie's language, that yes they were still on for tonight. "as long as you still get pussy, right?" she said, loud enough for him to hear. and maybe the other tattooists in the shop, who were all amused because this was a normal thing for them when it came to stephanie and montclair, honestly.

the sight of her finger was a welcome one, one that signified a sort of shift back into their standard dynamic. montclair felt a smile tug at his lips, but decided to side step her vulgarity with a non-answer. he was good at those. "i'm offended you'd suggest that i have nothing to offer in return."

she took a long sip from her water bottle before she watched him pull out a credit card and she just stared at him, "that better be for a tattoo," she murmured and stretched her arms above her head. "i don't need lunch bought for me," she added and ran her fingers through her hair. she rested her chin in her hand and just watched him closely. "i'm fully capable of taking care of myself. i already have a dad and brothers. i don't need more. i'll just see you later." a sigh escaped her and she grabbed her bag before heading to her work room.

he'd send some food through delivery, later, anyway, he thought, sliding his card back into his wallet. the dig didn't bother him so much as it made him laugh under his breath, watching her get up to walk away. he called after her, "does see you later mean we're still on for tonight?"

"oh, i'm sorry...all the cougars," she laughed and nodded before sipping from her beer again. "you are correct. they are very shitty tippers. those kinds of people would come into the diner i worked in for years and the tips would be awful. change. pocket change." she wrinkled up her nose. "they don't wanna let go of their money." tatum sighed and she chuckled, "that would bring women to their knees. a sexy first responder? hell yeah..."

"you're telling me you didn't love that? serving people coffee for a couple of pennies in return? noooooo." not that he got paid much better, honestly, but he still found it fun to tease her about it. "i get flirted with on the job, but i'm pretty sure that's just because they've all lost a bunch of blood."

"tomas... is this an official invitation for your next semester?" ian can hardly contain a grin. "i'm not callin' you professor, if that's the case."

"i'd love to see you in one of my lectures," tomas says full of both mirth and earnestness. "professor isn't necessary. mr. ochoa will do just fine."

she laughed and rolled her eyes before she's sipping from her beer again. a hum escaped her and she wrinkled up her nose. "magic mike jr. all the women would be after you so fast." she laughed and covered her face with both of her hands. "go on, make it your side hustle. i bet you'd make a better living off of that than you would being a paramedic by far."

"all the cougars," he corrected, tipping the tip of his bottle towards her. "except those are the people with all the money. but they also don't like to tip." at that point, he was just thinking out loud. "maybe that'd be my shtick. sexy medic man."

" this was the last thing she needed in her life: one of the parents from her day job coming to the club. she had hoped to god how much her appearance differed from how they normally saw her would make it harder to notice, but apparently the contacts, wig and makeup just weren't enough cover. she felt nerves like she hadn't in a long time as she stood before them in her current work uniform, her bare, toned skin shining in the dim club lights from the shimmer in her body lotion. he took a second to find some semblance of composure, to shift his mind from the lucidity encouraged by the lights and the outfits and the alcohol to be present enough to answer the question. "no, chill! who would i even tell?"

"see? you're dramatic," she laughed and watched him cross his arm over his chest before he was shaking his head. she wrinkled up her nose and laughed. "that's good to know. i'll keep a look out for the blood," she murmured and rolled her eyes. "i don't think you would be, either. you'd be rolling in cash. look at you." she poked his cheek and sipped from her beer.

"i resent that. this is a highly appropriate reaction." he puffed his cheek in reaction to her poke. "maybe i'll make that my side hustle." a pensive look crossed his face. "i'll market myself as magic mike jr."

"yeah," ian drawls, smirk forming on his lips, "i'm sure this new generation of twenty-somethings would love an old man barging into their classes." the very thought makes ian huff a laugh, shaking his head. "there's no future between me & higher education."

"this new generation of twenty-somethings don't know their head from their ass," tomas says, lightly and without much acidity. "but! the classroom is for everybody."

ian can't help but snort. "if i had a doctorate? oh i'd be unsufferable." he pauses, considers. "more insufferable."

tomas matches his mirth. "i, for one, would love to see that. it's never too late."

tatum gave him a look and laughed, "you're so fucking dramatic," she said and slipped the money into her back pocket. "you bled for this seven dollars, huh? i bet you sweat for it. so they probably are super gross. are you a stripper and haven't told me? you can strip for me right now..." she wiggled her eyebrows at him and gave him a little wink before snorting and sipping from her beer again.

"you don't take my mental anguish seriously. that's fine." he crossed an arm over his chest. amused, he shook his head, waiting for her to finish speaking before revealing, "my sweat, yeah. but the blood - if there is genuinely some - is absolutely not mine." a shake of his head. "i hope i wouldn't be this fucking poor if i was a stripper."

she wasn't sure why she was putting herself through this. she was clearly a masochist. she saw that flippant smile on his face and she was so tempted to hit him. a sigh escaped her and she stabbed her food before taking a bite. she was on her break, so he wouldn't have to stay very long. "you don't have to stay until i'm done eating. i'll just see you after my shift. i have two more tattoos to do. soleil's not in today, so...i had to take over." her stomach turned and she didn't want to eat anymore, so she tossed the food in the trash bin.

point taken. there was no way for the violent way she'd suddenly decided to use her fork to be misconstrued. with some effort he managed to contain the look of pleasant surprise that was dangerously close to blooming across his face. until she threw her food in the trash, that is. montclair sighed. "well. you can't do it all on an empty stomach." from his wallet, he pulled a credit card.

she laughed when he groaned and rolled her eyes, "it's literally not that big of a deal, i promise..." she murmured, but then he was digging around in his pocket and she sighed as she sipped from her beer. he was pulling out a small wad of cash and she rolled her eyes. "jesus, art," she murmured and leaned forward to pluck the money from his hold, "as long as you'll leave me alone about it," she teased him and placed it on the table beside her. she rested her feet in his lap and stretched her arms above her head.

with beer in his mouth, he said, "it's absolutely a big deal," and the movement of his jaw made the bottle click against his teeth. "it'd hang like a cloud above me. so thank you for taking my gross, sweaty, probably bloody seven dollars."

"you sure you weren't trying to give yourself an out?" she wasn't sure how upset to be. eva let out a sigh. "just spit it out. what's the answer to my dangerous question."

palms showing, he conceded. "alright, you got me." and then, in typical fashion, he sidestepped the latter half of her statement. "i'm trying to give myself an out. feel better?"
