“Concerned huh?” Linne chuckled at that. That indirect way of saying things wasn’t new to her. Thanks to a few interactions with certain people in her actual world she realized that his words held a sincere message, despite his attempt to play it off like something that wasn’t a big deal. She went close to him and looked him in the eye. (Tried to, she’s really short while he’s tall).
“You don’t even know my name stupid.” She gave him a tick on the forehead. “Don’t be so quick to offer assistance to everyone you meet. I could have been lying and creating this situation to eventually manipulate you and have you do something you’d regret. What would you do then?” Linne appeared like a regular teenage girl, and sometimes she event acted that way, but in truth she had lived for centuries. And, as if the untold rules of the world made it that way, old people liked to share their knowledge with the younger ones. Or, as the younger ones themselves called it: Lecture.
Linne was half-teasing him, but her ever stoic expression didn’t give him much room for argument. She eventually sighed and turned away though. “I do have a phone. It appeared about a month after I came here I think. Wanna exchange numbers?”
Rogue may have flinched a little as she got close, but despite his reflexes, her finger connected to his forehead and it went back a little partly from force and partly from the dislike of being flicked on the head. It was very much like the bickering behavior of his friends would often do to him.. And the same speech as before from a certain someone. The flick however, may as well have been to a dragon and it made him grumpy.
“Don’t touch me! And besides. Aren’t you forgetting I can sniff out people? I’d come find whoever messes with me and just kick them through a wall or two. Teach them a lesson not to mess with a member of Sabretooth.”
Although his own expression was stoic, it was clear that he was simply covering the fact that he was a little naive at times despite his quiet demeanor and that proud sense of being that could only come about from being raised by a dragon.
As the subject came to phones, he took his out and fumbled it. Looking blankly over the screen, he seemed confused.
“Well... Sure? I think? Numbers to contact each other right? I.. I don’t really know how to use this. This isn’t like archive magic at all with all these buttons on the screen and lack of proper voice functioning.”
