Toshiko had gotten into an altercation with a local officer and she may or may not had broken his nose. It wasn’t her fault though. The guy wanted to look in her bags, she had some personal stuff in there, he persisted, she fought back.

She was so ashamed that her ‘dad’ had to bail her out. Toshiko wanted to ask her Mom but she knew that she couldn’t afford it and knew it would burden her.

When she left the police station and saw her Dad, she instantly froze up. But then he spoke to her. God, she just wanted to yell and scream at him. But that would’ve gotten her in more trouble than before.

“Dude wouldn’t leave me alone, so I punched him. Simple.”

“I--he was a cop, Toshi! What’s simple about that?!” He sputters, voice raised from confusion. He’s not crazy, right? If she were some kinda delinquent he’d understand, but Toshiko wasn’t the type to go around punching people, especially from police officers. Yet he still taught her to defend herself if anything happened. There had to be a reason.

“Was he tryin’ something on ‘ya? Extorting you? I can’t help you unless you tell me what happened, hon!”
