haha so funny.
Her small smile quickly grew slowly as he spoke kind words to her. From what she knew of Rohan he tended to be closed off, just a dangerous beautiful mystery. The fact that he was willing to answer any question she had to ask spoke volumes to her. Had she broken past that wall? Another question stuck in her head…was she going to be able to keep what was happening with them a secret? The closer they grew she knew she wouldn’t be able to hold it from one person in particular…Graham. He was more like a protective older brother that she never got the chance to experience having before her early death. Something like this she knew she couldn’t keep hidden from him even if she dare tried. As he moved his hand to her cheek she leant into his touch before moving her hand over his lightly taking it in hers, lacing their fingers together. She suddenly didn’t have the desire for a float anymore…she wanted to take this time to learn about the man that held her attention. Guiding her back to her room she unlocked the door guiding him in before closing the door tight behind them both. She also thought about what made him hesitate with his words before he finally said ‘everything’. Deep down she wanted him to ask her to go steady with him…but apart of her felt it was something he wouldn’t be interested in, which was just fine. “If you become less of a mystery to me…I will be less of one to you…a question for a question, even if mine is something silly as to have another kiss ‘cause…I really liked those…” She continued to blush looking down to the ground bashful. “For starters…Well…What is your full name?”
When they’d reached her room, he began to feel nervous. He’d never been in her room before—well he had, but he hadn’t known it was her room. Nodding his head as he walked in, pretending to approve of the décor, he smiled. “Nice,” He spoke, referring to the room itself. “I like what you’ve done with the place...” It wasn’t convincing, he could tell. He’d killed many a men in this room, probably when pretty little Marilyn was out spreading joy to all. He chose not to tell her. Now it was time for the questions. Giving her hand a tight yet gentle squeeze, he released their hands and strode over to the window. Something about the outside world calmed him, and he needed to prepare his calmness for this. Nobody had ever dipped into his personal life before, or rather he’d never let anyone. Now he was offering up his damn heart and mind to the first beauty he’d saw when he’d entered the hotel. With a clear of his throat, Rohan turned around to face Marilyn on the heel of his foot and grimaced at the mention of another kiss. He was pleased. “I really liked those too, Marilyn.” He replied, with a small chuckle that he just couldn’t hold back—he put it down to nerves. Listening to her question, he quirked a brow. “Rohan Benjamin Maximilian Carter.” He gave a shrug. "Named after my grandfather Benjamin and the name Maximilian has been in every generation of Carter's. I don't know why they picked Rohan." He thought for a moment. "It does mean ascending.. maybe my parents thought I was ascending from Hell. I don't they believe I'd go to Heaven." He chuckled to himself. Before the realization hit him that it was now her turn, and he was more than happy to get the attention off himself. "Why'd you come to this hotel?" He asked, curiously.
“Now everything is new And all I’ve learned has overturned I beg of you Don’t go wasting your emotion Lay all your love on me!“ Alice clapped excitedly at the song choice “Ghost of the decade. The century!!!”
“It was like shooting a sitting duck, A little smalltalk, a smile, And baby I was stuck. I still don't know what, You've done with me!”
He continued to sing, forgetting all about this triple challenge. Catching the fruit, he lay them back on the desk and began dancing again. “I forgot how good ABBA was...”
“I expect only the best and by best I mean all of the above”
“As you wish,” He took a bow, while grinning. Grabbing some oranges and apples from the fruit bowl on the front desk, he began to try and juggle the fruits. He knew one of his hidden talents would come in handy. Beginning to try his best to shake his hips while not dropping the fruit, he started to think of songs. The last song he could remember was the only one to enter his mind, and he sighed. Curse ABBA’s era.
“I wasn't jealous before we met, Now every woman I see is a potential threat, And I'm possessive, it isn't nice. You've heard me saying that Smoking was my only vice, But now it isn't true..”
I….I know.
“Brilliant.”
“Tortured, not killed. Boring, I know. I’ve just never had the opportunity arise.” She smiled. “But fine. We’ll kill whoever we steal from.”
“How would you feel about torturing someone again? Because I do quite like the sound of that.”
“I think you already are famous if you’re dead.”
“In a way, yes. But I was already famous before I died, darling.”
“ how do i know if you’re lying or not now? “
“You’re already dead, just drink it and find out.”
She gives him a look for a moment and then laughs “Yeah, I’m beat dead too. That’s why I came her, to give myself a good rest.”
“Rest ain’t going to help that complexion of yours. You’re dead, love. You’re always going to look like how you are now.”
“Oh, because killing someone wouldn’t look bad on mine or my father’s reputation. I’m a very important person you know, and I don’t have time to be dealing with the likes of you. You’re clearly alive.”
“You rich people...” Rohan shook his head. “I was rich once too, you know. Lived in a big fancy house with loads of butlers and maids... killed ‘em all though. They were boring. No, I've just said... I'm dead! Duh.”
“With ghost of the year comes great responsibility. You must entertain me Ro.” Alice said sitting in her unique chair and curling into a ball.
“My dear Alice, how do you wish to be entertained?” He asked, with a goofy grin. “I could sing, dance, juggle? I must say I’m excellent at all of them.”
“Woah ghost of the year”
“I know, yeah.”
It had been a long, long while since Marilyn had given into her emotions and let them lead her. Most times she hesitated, that maybe she would be making a mistake. Not this time though…she felt herself letting go. Letting her fingers lace together behind his neck a second she continued to keep close while the kiss continued. She felt his hands twist in her hair, along with another on her lower back-This would normally be a no no for her, but it just felt right here. Just as soon as the kiss started, it was over. He pulled away leaving her completely breathless with stars in her eyes. Lowering her foot she stood holding onto him, fearing she might fall from feeling weak in the knees. As he spoke her name she let out a soft sigh sounding like a “Hmm…” listening to whatever he had to say. As he told her she had to remain quiet her features slightly turned to a frown as she wondered if it were something with her that made him want to keep what they just shared, a secret. However she nodded. Though she gave him a look of shock as he commented on the men living and dead what admired her. “…I haven’t noticed any, I swear I haven’t. Plus…They would have to deal with the fact that I have eyes for a certain dark and mysterious guy…” She reassured him as one hand moved up to lightly cup his cheek, looking deep into his eyes. As he dipped to the crook of her neck she lightly let out a nervous giggle breathing out softly “Oh Rohan…” The hand behind his neck lightly touched the hairs at the nape of his neck. She longed for another kiss to her lips, just so she knew this wasn’t some cruel dream…but she would take the sweet kiss to the cheek. Moving up on her toes she leaned in lightly placing a kiss to his nose, moving back with a bright blush against her cheeks.
Rohan couldn’t believe his luck with Marilyn. He wasn’t sure that he’d feel the way he did right now in any other person in the hotel, living or dead. He had an acquired taste when it came to his women, and before this he’d been sure that Marilyn had not fitted the criteria. He wanted someone with a heart as dark as his, but instead here was a girl who’s heart, even not beating, seemed to glow with a rare kindness that he’d only experienced once before. She was something he did not deserve, but he was selfish and he’d take her anyway. Her words were like a melody to him, and caused him to smile. “That’s comforting to hear, my dear Marilyn.” A part of him wanted to shout from the rooftops that they’d shared a kiss, despite his earlier statement. He wanted to yell about them, let everybody know she was claimed—but she wasn’t. Maybe in his mind, but in reality he knew that he couldn’t just have her to himself without putting in a little effort. And for Marilyn, who knew what she expected. “Your may have eyes for me, but I don’t want your eyes. I want...” Did he dare say heart? In his mind, he was sure that cringe worthy material and something he definitely would never say. “Everything.” Would have to suffice. Looking into her eyes, he lifted a hand and delicately stroked her cheek. "Let me become less mysterious to you... ask me anything, and I'll answer the best I can."
“Nothing worse than what you’ve been up to I bet.”
“I’ve done a lot of good deeds lately, I’ll have you know. I helped some guy carry his bags to his room.”
His kiss sent shivers down her spine, and she eagerly awaited another. But she couldn’t shake his words. What on earth did he mean? “Rohan,” She said, softly. “What do you mean such a shame?” She asked, hoping perhaps that he’d meant to compliment her in some form.
He laughed at her question, while his hands began to stroke her arms in a comforting manner. “It’s just a shame...” He replied, resting his head upon her shoulder. With a grimace, his hands slowed and began to grip her again—this time he was rough and determined to keep her in his arms. “That you have to die, princess.”
“And humble”
“Indeed. How’ve you been, cutie? Caused any trouble?”
“Oh as long as you’re not stupid” Alice laughed at his priorities
“Don’t worry, Al. I’ll always be my intelligent self.”
