Question for Kitty Pryde obsessives: how did she ever find Elfquest? She is canonically a subscriber, as of at least issue 11, wears the t-shirt etc. BUT this was the original WARP Elfquest. Where did she find it? An early comic book store? I’d assume, I don’t think it would have been available in spinner racks at the convenience store. Maybe NYC’s version of Newbury Comics, which would have been Forbidden Planet maybe?

I feel like this is a surprisingly interesting question because it leads to a whole bunch of other questions that relate to the early history of fandom where it was much harder to spread information.

By the late 1970s comic book shops had started to appear so she definitely could have seen a copy there.

Early on a lot of information could also be spread via mail. The letters section of comics were much more prominent and people often wanted to discuss things there. She could have also heard about it through a fanzine. Fanzines were often sent out in the mail.

Places like conventions or college campuses were also important places to share information. A college campus would ge a great place to either get your hands on a fanzine that was discussing new indie comics or just hear it be talked about. We know Kitty was attending college level courses, even before joining the Xavier school. So it doesn't feel impossible that she might have found out about Elfquest from going to the University of Chicago or something and either being handed a fanzine where it was discussed or meeting some other students that were discussing it.

• The first time Kitty stepped outside she fell in love with Illyana

• Unfortunately, Illyana has a crush on Doug, who in turn has a crush on Kitty, so they're in a loop where each of them hates the person who has a crush on them for being the object of their crush's affection

• Douglock does not get on with Doug or Warlock but he also has a crush on Kitty

• Sam has a crush on Berto but he's in love with Amara and nothing's making sam cheer up

• But its okay bc Chamber immediately fell in love with Sam so clearly he has a thing for Guthries

• Amara asked to move in with Doug so she's now part of team supreme

Illyana Rasputin really spent every day living with Kitty Pryde like in another life she didn’t have to put her out of her misery and bury the body. Illyana Rasputin goes everywhere with Kitty Pryde’s blood on her hands but dealing with the reminder is worth it because come on, it’s Kitty, they can’t not be friends, it’s Kitty. Illyana Rasputin spends every day looking into the face of someone she loved enough to kill and she does it by choice because she still loves her.

Time Is a Flat Stepping Disc Part 295 The Illyana Rasputin timeline issue by issue

X-Men: Hellbound #2 Illyana is still not having the greatest time, but at least the team tasked to rescue her has made it to Limbo... where it is instantly torn apart and overtaken by the corrruption of Limbo. Gambit--by this point a former Horseman of Apocalypse--at least has a good understanding of what Limbo is doing to him. Pixie still holds Illyana solely and personally responsible for everything that happened during her first trip to Limbo, but is about to get a harsh lesson in how muddled things can get when N'Astirh seduces her into a deal.

I firmly believe this only happened because the writers knew that the first half of Second Coming just fully breaks if the X-Men have access to a long range teleporter. I think that might even have been the in-universe reason the villains wanted her off the table.
