Today I learned raider-people in FFXIV have a fancy word ('slidecasting') for something people have done in every MMO with cast times ever and are really, really snobby about it. They even have addons for this incredibly simple, basic thing I figured out like a week into ARR!

Having raided pretty hardcore in other games, it's very cute seeing the elitist attitude some FFXIV raiders have.

why is the non-mod booty in ffxiv so small. Lissa should have some nice thighs in her goth leather-and-tights healer outfit. :|

For the love of god can tanks please stop insisting on soloing bosses after the party dies in dungeons.

Yes, maybe you can solo the boss, but when you're a PLD spamming clemency to stay alive and the boss is at 60% and the last dps dies to a stack-mark mechanic because the healer bit it, can you please, please, please not make the entire rest of the party wait FOURTEEN MINUTES for you to kill the boss.
