That while irene adler slapped and beated sherlock to get something for herself..
molly slapped him only for his own good..
Irene Comes to sherlock's mind palace as a distraction..
Molly Comes to his mind palace as a savior..
Irene feels something for Sherlock but tries to shut her feelings down and carry on with her insane plans with his worst enemy..
Molly expresses her love for Sherlock by protecting him from that enemy..
Irene made sherlock want to hide in his old cocoon fearing and rejecting attachments and sentiment..
Molly made sherlock want to be a better man.. kinder.. gentler..and much more productive with his life.. because he finds the way she feels for him terribly endearing.. and wants to see himself through her eyes..
Sherlock can't trust irene adler to even text her back..
But he trusts molly blindly with his life and work..
Sherlock can't stand that molly is Hurt in anyway and he has an emotional meltdown when her life IS threatened..
Sherlock brutally makes the deduction that ruins Irene's life time work.. putting her life in grave danger.. then he makes her beg for some form of protection..
PS : i am in no way pleased with the way Moffat portrayed Irene Adler's character in this serie.. but she is still important because she helps us distinguish between love.. and everything that looks like it..
I just Hope that they gave her character any other name..
