teiko nabatasai x reader idea (me rambling at 4 am)

haha she’s my favorite rival but there’s no content of her so i gotta do it myself. 😢😢😢

teiko is the top student at akademi. everybody knows her, the girl who is both brains and beauty. she’s just a second year, yet many universities overseas invite her to speak.

she’s very focused on her studies and rarely is seen hanging out with friends. many students believe if she does have one, or when they hear she does have one really close friend, they think that person is just as disciplined and intelligent as her. but.. who could that be? perhaps someone in the science club, a crazed inventor? or maybe someone in newspaper or photography? wrong.

there is a single person who is one of the top students at akademi, yet, everyone is surprised upon finding out. teiko nabatasai’s closest friend.. the infamous student who sleeps through every single class without fail and somehow has top grades.

of course nobody beats teiko and it isn’t like you’re a perfect student. you still fall behind a couple other really intelligent students and you aren’t very well known in clubs. you are only known to be barely awake and occasionally called out in class to answer a difficult question, just to answer it correctly and go back to sleep. at this point, you just show up for attendance.

how do you even become friends with teiko? she seems like she’d dislike you, but she’s come around. at first she couldn’t understand why the person next to her would just sleep through class when they attend a prestigious academy. why are you wasting so much time? she underestimated you greatly in your first year together but has slightly respect for your natural gift of.. whatever it is.

the teacher had seated you next to teiko in hopes of her discipline rubbing off on you, but it didn’t do anything. in addition, you didn’t really chat with teiko as she’s always taking notes or running errands for faculty. she would greet you (if you were awake when she walked in) but that’s it.

it wasn’t until the teacher paired you up for a partner project that you grew closer. you find out she likes to listen to classical music and likes to be in nature. she finds out you are quite the sophisticated person who shares interests with her. you grew up playing classical music because your parents hoped it would help your academic abilities, so now those skills came in handy when you wanted to show her something.

you two become so close that you are the only person to know she bribed a teacher for perfect grades once. she eats her lunch with you now, walks to and from school daily together, and she studies with you in the library in quiet but comfortable silence. she would remember details about you and show quiet appreciation— like when she goes overseas for six weeks to be a guest speaker, teiko will buy souvenirs for you. maybe even send a postcard occasionally to let you know she’s alright.

along the way you might realize why so many people have crushes on her. sure, you knew before and you could see it, but now you understand it. being the only person that sees a more personal side of her, you really fall head over heels for your best friend.

depending on ryoba’s actions, you may be the suitor for teiko instead and be match made happily. if teiko is expelled, you’ll confess your feelings right before she leaves Japan. all your heartfelt affection pours out like a dam breaking. you may never see teiko again for a long, long time. it catches her off guard, but, she knows that she loves you too.

as you finish high school at akademi, you keep in touch with teiko through handwritten letters and gifts. you apply to many universities overseas and try your best to be close to her, where you’ll reunite and be together again.

kizana sunobu x reader idea

the drama club is full of actors, but who are the people in charge of setting up the stage? in order to really immerse your audience, you stage needs to be set with proper lighting and props. that’s where you come in! you are a part of akademi’s stage technician team, well known for being proficient and being a good leader when needed. though it can be really stressful during tech week before a show, you shine through and help pull the crew together.

in kizana’s opinion, there’s nobody else more worthy by her side than the person who makes her shine on stage!

she’s a little nicer to you in particular because she appreciates your work. though she is arrogant and snobby she knows the importance of techs in the background who make and give out props in time to actors, set up lighting, and help with costumes. you are almost oblivious to her little act of kindness though.

oh, how she wishes you were an actor! she wants to share a stage with you and perform together. what could be more romantic? the lead actress with fans falling at her feet, falling in love with a stage tech behind the scenes!

kizana will really pester you and attempt to bribe you into auditioning for a role (she would’ve used her authority to put you in a lead role to share with her regardless of how good you are). but it doesn’t work. you’re too committed to your craft and you know everything can go to shit if you suddenly start pursuing an acting career. so despite her numerous attempts at bribery and slight intimidation, she gives up…

…not.

if she can’t have you on stage with her to profess her feelings, she’ll just make sure you witness her confession. she’ll set it up perfectly: a single spotlight on her, a passionate soliloquy full of emotion and yearning, hand outstretched to you in the very front row asking you to be her partner on stage.

when you say yes, you’ll notice the giddiness and relief in her eyes even if her body language is controlled. she looks confident, as if she knew all along you’d say yes, but deep down she had been nervous.

make sure you praise her for her performance dedicated just to you!

i wonder what it would be like as someone who grew up alongside himeko back in planarcadia.

days spent together in graphia academy, running around, beating up bullies, painting imagenae together from stories she’d tell you. a childish love that grew into something more. holding hands in the hallways and dreaming of adventuring somewhere far together in the future.

nights spent with her when she was feeling ill or weak, her father absent and unable to come as quickly as you. maybe you’d read her a story until she falls asleep. comfort her as the weathering curse takes its toll. it always reminds you of the little time you have with himeko.

close as you were, she never fully opened up to you. the timer on her life kept her from truly opening her heart. she doesn’t want to break yours when she inevitably succumbs to her disease.

you never strayed too far from duomension city for university, but you weren’t with himeko all the time. you always kept in touch with her. until that day..

…the herald of death came. he slaughtered many. by the time you came back, it was too late. himeko was gone, far, far away from planarcadia. you never even got to say goodbye.

so how is it she stood before you now?

the astral express arrives for the phantasmoon games fifteen years later.. an elegant woman steps onto the train station platform, with long red hair and warm golden eyes.

who is that?

your eyes meet on the train station. time seems to stop for just that moment. it’s just you and himeko. many words left unsaid and questions unanswered. how did she survive? what happened to the weathering curse? what has she been doing all these years? and.. why did she never call?

you only knew one thing: you can’t lose her again. even if that meant abandoning planarcadia to board that train and fulfill those childish dreams you both once held.
