This is how June is going to feel
i can’t believe i only have a few weeks left in my beloved apartment! this home has been so wonderful to me. ive made this space so my own, all greens and pinks and yellows and too many throw pillows and rugs on top of eachother and a gallery wall that took forever to paint and a pull down projector screen bc i don’t watch enough tv to own one and meticulously labeled art supplies and way too many clothes and a kitchen sink always full of dishes and shopping cart in kitchen and no one else to please or appease, just me fully able to be loud & naked at all hours, god i love it here.
but my next adventure will be a good one. im moving in with a partner for the first time. I’ll have a yard again and a porch and a new neighborhood to explore in a part of the city I’ve never spent much time in. I’ll have my own room to retreat to when i need it, and I’ll have roommates to split chores with, and my cat will have more company, and I’ll be saving a lot of rent money that can go towards healthcare costs.
It’s all scary but exciting. I hope I’m making the right choice. Only time will tell
