Are you afraid of commitments: Iâve got tattoos.

Have you ever broken your own heart?: Nope.

Wild night out or romantic night in: Wild night out.
Summer or winter: Summer.

â â Pride, honor, respect; these were the morals taught to a young boy by a father that was gone more often than not. Fighting for his country, fighting for a better life for his wife and son; the reasons were plenty, but those didnât satisfy a boy that only wished to toss a football back and forth with his father, to learn how to ride a bike by the singular man he looked up to. His childhood was spent receiving letters in the mail from destinations unknown, waiting for a holiday to show up so that he could see his father once again. It was a struggle during those early years, of knowing that his father was doing his job, but yearning for that bonding he saw other boys getting in his neighborhood. Those were hard years, but the ones to follow were only going to be harder.
The protocol when a Marine dies is for two uniformed servicemen to show up at oneâs door, to notify the surviving family of the untimely death and provide the next steps. Though the young boy was present during this time, the ringing in his ears prevented him from hearing the words of comfort that left the servicemen. He was eight years old when his father was killed in action, killed doing what he needed to protect a country that he loved. Roman never understood it, hated his father for leaving him. He was young, and could only think of all the things heâd missed out on due to his fatherâs profession. But he never voiced any of it, saw the struggle his mother went through each day without his father.
The struggle only continued as Roman grew older, becoming more of a handful than his mother had wished for. He was diagnosed a few years after his fatherâs death with a case of ADHD; Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. He was a whirlwind of thoughts, consistently shifting from one topic to the next, unable to remain focused long enough. The following months consisted of one doctorâs appointment after the next, learning all that they could of his condition and how to treat it. In the end, his treatment consisted of medication that would inevitably keep him numb to the world. Roman became a zombie, a drastic difference from the boy that he had been. And eventually, unknown to his mother for the first while, he stopped taking his medication.
It wasnât long or hard for his mother to determine what was happening, especially when Roman became a handful and so much more. With the struggle of keeping them afloat, she was at her witâs end when it came to dealing with a child who couldnât sit still, who refused to take medication she believed would help him. In the end, after much discussion with his uncle and aunt, it was set that Roman would move down to New Orleans, to live with them and be better looked after while he finished out his teenage years. His mother thought it was the best option for him, to succeed where she had not. It was almost expected that he go against that as well.
Feeling left out, feeling different only followed Roman to his new home. He acted out in brand new ways, seeking any form of rebellion that he could get his hands onto. With a new high school to attend, he found a new group of friends. It didnât help that these kids were otherwise labeled as the wrong crowd. From petty theft to breaking and entering, Roman did what he could to find entertainment, to keep the adrenaline coursing through his system. It was almost like fate that Roman found himself in the midst of the Black Wolves, roped into the life that he found exhilarating. With a mind that wouldnât quit buzzing, and the notion that he likely wouldnât complete high school like a normal student, it was almost expected that Roman obtained his GED and found himself joining the Black Wolves as an established member.
1. WHATâS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR FAMILY LIKE?
âDad died when I was a kid, havenât seen my mom since I was a teen. Had a pretty decent relationship with my aunt and uncle, but they stopped trying to see me when I joined up with the MC. Canât blame âem, they had their hands full with me. Now I got a better family to deal with my ass.â
2. WHO WERE YOU IN HIGH SCHOOL? WHAT WAS THAT EXPERIENCE LIKE FOR YOU?
âThe fucking problem kid. Couldnât keep myself still long enough to learn anything. Then I was too doped up to even care. Never got to graduate with my class, was shipped down here then teachers thought itâd be better if I got my GED. Least I graduated earlier. A fucking whirlwind, thatâs for sure.â
3. WHAT WOULD YOU SAY YOUâRE KNOWN AS AROUND TOWN? HOW DO YOU THINK OTHERS PERCEIVE YOU?
âWith or without the cut? People probably think Iâm that loud asshole, never keeps his damn mouth shut. Not sure most people care to take the time to perceive me, or are probably just too scared to; whatever, doesnât much matter to me, not gonna change anything.â
4. HAS ANYTHING HAPPENED TO YOU IN YOUR LIFE THAT HAS DRASTICALLY CHANGED WHO YOU ARE NOW AS A PERSON?
âWhen my dad died, things got real for a while, turned my house upside down. Then my mom struggled with raising me, donât blame her for what she did but damn did that fucking suck. Guess a lot of shits happened in my life, changed me in one way or another. Got locked up for a few stints, fucked around a bit, the list goes on, man.â
5. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE CURRENT HEADLINES OF ANANYA LAGHARI? DID YOU KNOW HER? DO YOU HAVE ANY THOUGHTS ON WHO WAS BEHIND HER DEATH?
âShit sucks, but people die. Fucking circle of life and all that bullshit. Townâs in a fucking tizzy though, and that shit ainât good for business.â
