It's the one-year anniversary of me finishing "The Patient," my—I guess you'd call it novella about a nurse who is tasked with caring for Bob Dylan after his motorcycle crash in 1966. In a decade of writing for AO3, it was the first story I'd written in first-person, which is a POV I hate writing. It was a good challenge for me in that way. To this day, though, when I think about the story I think of it in the third-person, which is kind of funny.
If you haven't read it before and you like Bobby D., please give it a whirl. It ain't rated Explicit for nothin'. A thousand thanks to @thetomboyeffect for making several delightful pieces of cover art for the story. P.S. The story marks the first time I wrote Levon Helm and Robbie Robertson. I messed with their timeline a little bit, but they have cameos!
It’s the 60th anniversary of Bob’s motorcycle crash today, which means it’s time for you to check out this story.
