I love this question because my answer is so lackluster

- hard brush for everything, even sketching

- soft brush for lighting/effects (with add or multiply layers)

- random hair brush for more softer paintings

If you look closely at a lot of my stuff it’s all just hard brush bc I don’t bother to smudge things
