I agree with you on all the things that could be fixed about Romitri! If they take out the toxic Frostbite scenes you mentioned but keep scenes like Dimitri encouraging Rose to share her problems with Lissa in SK or them flipping through the travel book in LS, that would be good. It's a red flag when an older person tells a younger person to only trust or confide in them, so Dimitri telling Rose she's afraid of letting people in and that she should confide in Lissa too needs to stay in the ship.
100% agree! I don’t even need the scenes to be removed entirely, just tweaked a bit, but please let them keep the soft!romitri scenes. The scene in the church is one of my favourites in the series. It’d also be nice to see the theme of Rose learning to let people in explored more. At the end of the series it still feels like she only confides in Lissa and Dimitri (and Lissa barely), so I’d like to see some moments with her opening up to other people. In Blood Promise she could tell one of the Belikovs what she’s really doing there, or even Sydney. Or I’d love to see a scene in Spirit Bound where she opens up to her mom. I actually have high hopes for this in the show, because judging by the original casting article they’re expanding on a lot of side characters, so there’ll be a lot of opportunities for Rose to have a wider social circle.
