Aspartame is the technical name for the brand names NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, and Equal-Measure. It was discovered by accident in 1965 when James Schlatter, a chemist of G.D. Searle Company, was testing an anti-ulcer drug. Aspartame accounts for over 75 percent of the adverse reactions to food additives reported to the FDA. Many of these reactions are very serious, including seizures and deaths.
So I've been working on distance for the last few months. And now after working out with Professor Greg and the team on Sunday's (their goal time for 2.6 miles is to be under 20 minutes) I realized my endurance needs to be improved. I always knew I was a slow runner, so instead of focusing on how far I can run, I need to focus on how fast and how long I can hold up. So here we start! This smoothie definitely just made my top 10 of best combo smoothies. Bananas, pineapples, watermelon (though I hate the taste of watermelon by itself, blended in smoothies it's delish), blackberries, blueberries, grapes and I couldn't resist adding a few spinach leaves, with almond milk, freshly squeezed lemon juice and topped with cayenne pepper.
