Parties hardly seemed interesting. As expected, Jumin could have left and gone back to his hotel and no one would notice. His father, though, would notice only shortly after and would spend the remainder of their time in Taipei scolding him for leaving. Childish, he would have called it, and called him irresponsible. Being in no mood to hear the lecture, let alone deal with it, so he stayed reluctantly. More exactly, on a balcony away from the majority of the crowd.
Eyes were glued to a book in hand, elbows propped up on the railing. From anyone’s gaze, unless standing immediately beside him, he was only observing the view. It seems like a miracle ( at least it would have been a miracle to his father ) when his eyes pry up from the book, hearing a voice, and turns his attention to the owner.
“Hmm…? I suppose it’s nice to see,” a bit more than some faces at the party, but he bites his tongue. He turned to the girl, eyes narrowing, while fingers snapped the book shut suddenly.
Somehow Jumin would have expected his father sending someone after him to bring him back to the party, when nothing was brought up he could only sigh - relieved - and opened his book once again. “I suppose your evening here is going well? Or are you bored?”
🎀▐░▒ A shiver went up Aoi’s spine when she heard the book snap shut in the gentleman’s hands. A thought of whether she disturbed him went through her mind, making her feel rather anxious about disturbing someone’s peace.
“ Well, I have to admit, I am quite bored as my mother just dragged me to the party when I am fairly full with my hands with homework and practicing my instrument, and that I won’t be completely alone as I will be with my cat, my dog and my two birds, ” Usually, she wouldn’t be honest about how she really felt if people were asking about how she feels about the party ( as she is drilled in mentally by her mother to restrain and be modest ), yet, she managed to tell the other how she truly felt at the moment. But at the same time, it felt satisfying to not put up with a forced smile in front of her mother and her friends and other guests enjoying the party.
“ The food is good and all, but our tummies can get bloated and we can of course get bored of eating. But, I can admit the beautiful skylines here will never fail to amuse me, ” A soft smile formed upon the girl’s lips as she gazed and observed the dazzling lights of the city. Her mother, growing up from a semi-rural town back in Japan preferred the serene and quiet ( which makes her stay in Japan at times a bit boring at home ). Though Aoi enjoyed the silent and quaint neighborhoods, she certainly grew up as a city girl and will always find beauty in the urban world.
“ So, I assume you are also one of the attendees? Can I ask what your name is? ”
