Now that it’s quiet around my house and I’ve got some time to think calmly, I’m incredibly disappointed that I didn’t also gain Izumi’s musical talent.
Kinda makes me wonder if some stuff that’s stored in muscle memory carries over... I can still draw okay, but so can Kurt, so I dunno what else to test out with it ...
I know that I already chimed in to say something about this whole body swap thing, but I have another thought. This one is less positive, so hold on to your waistbands. I’m seeing a lot of.. change. This isn’t about our bodies either, and it’s kind of upsetting, so I hope that you’re all reading this with open eyes. I’m seeing a lot of people talking as though their entire physical representation has to change now that they have different body parts. Girls are declining dresses now in favor of pants, boys are wearing makeup that never did before and presenting it in a way that makes it feel like “they have to” now that “they’re a girl” - and why? Because your outsides changed? Your insides are still the same, and I’d like to take a moment to hope-out-loud that you’ll all realize that and respect that. For yourselves and for the people around you who have to watch you scrambling to change the way you present yourself based on physical anatomy.
Here’s a thought -
What if this is giving people the opportunity to try something new that they didn’t think they were able to, because they “had to” conform to the expectations attached to the body they originally had? Maybe someone’s gonna be able to find out something new about themselves. Maybe someone’s gonna keep on wearing makeup or not shaving or whatever if this ever gets back to where we started...
I dunno. You never know what people are thinking.

That I am. Uh -- I don’t know if the, like, well. Not allergies, but I don’t eat meat, so I don’t know if you’d have some kind of adverse reaction if you did. With my body.
I can’t say I’m liking it, but I’m glad it’s not worse. I don’t have to re-learn how to pee, and my clothes still pretty much fit for the most part. Are you going to the party thing? I can bring some stuff there if you need it.
Like I told someone else, I don’t know if I’m relieved or even more freaked out by that fact..
And yeah…it’s at least nice to know who has my body now. And it’s alright..it’s not dire or anything, and if this is happening to everyone then..I guess there’s no need to avoid work? I’m a PA though, basically, although having knowledge of fashion is a big part of the job. Most of the time? And I’m Kurt-hopefully my body’s in good hands?
I don’t see any reason you couldn’t go in, looking like ... whoever you are, I’m sorry, I don’t know her, either. Especially if the job’s more about what you know than anything, like, physical?
Yeah. I’m a vegetarian and I walk pretty much everywhere, so I’m not gonna like, eat a bunch of crap food or anything. Do you have any rules or requests while this lasts? Assuming this is temporary.
Sorry kids, Mason again here! So I’m happy to announce that it’s a little sorta late and stuff but I have Friday off - thank God- because of Doctor’s appointments and overall fact that my doctor is literally like two hours away and likes to do late appointments and getting back into the City during rush hour is impossible so I’m sorta making this my impromptu party night. Everyone’s allowed to come just as long as you’re nice and actually care to come.
However, since my sister’s Finals are next week (I think? God I could be wrong), and Saturday’s a lovely Two Dow Shay– the party’s ending at midnight.
Lemme know if you guys want to bring anything! I’ll hit you up with the address.

So I woke up this morning and you may or may not be now followed by an actual Tony Award Nominee. I don’t know if I’ll make it but True Love scored two nominations. Best direction and best performance by an actor in a leading role in a musical.
But y’know, we’re also up against Hamilton so ….. Also congrats to Spring Awakening for the whole Best Revival nominee.
Part of me wants to be reckless and throw a party just because this is super exciting and I still feel like I’m not genuinely awake.

Yeah, this project is like ... eating my soul. And all my free time. But maybe when I’m done with it ... I don’t drink much, but ... I guess you don’t either since you’d be working.
if anyone’s interested, we’re having a Ladies Night on Saturday at the club I tend bar at. Everyone’s welcome, of course, no matter the gender. But they’ll be some deals on drinks and, of course, my lovely company and skills!

I’m so not a fan of my boss right now. I requested one day off, technically it wasn’t even the day off because I said I was willing to come in and work the evening shift, and my boss straight up told me no because it was a weekend and usually our ‘busy time’. All I wanted was to have the day off on Mother’s Day to go home and see my mom for a few hours. It’s not like I call in or ask for days off regularly. I’m always willing to work when he needs me, regardless of the hours. I should have earned some bonus points with him.
I feel ya. I swear I give my work my class schedule at the beginning of every semester and they always seem to think “ah yes, these are the days Ash is absolutely available to stand behind a register and punch buttons.” Like no, man. These are the dates and times I’m gonna be somewhere else entirely.
Sucks though, especially if you don’t usually have requests like that.
